It is possible your adventure might take place in one section of the city, about the size of the market area in Denerim. That wouldn't be too difficult to arrange, especially if they are planning on including Orlais in DA2 so they already had some material designed.
And it does seem likley to me that this will be the first in a series of NPC-Centric origin DLCs.

I suspect since this is short (it is a DlC, not the whole game) they can manage to have her voice every possible dialogue choice "shephard style" as others have suggested.

You really think they'll reveal anything of significance in and about Orlais through a DLC? I just don't see it happening, I don't see them introducing the most discussed nation in Origins (Aside from Ferelden obviously) and a major area within the lores universe through a little DLC. That's the type of thing you reveal and dedicate a whole new chapter for, not a little paragraph in some random spot.

I guess I'll get it,I always end up buying every DLC for DA eventually even if I dont like the idea very much, like Darkspawn Chronicals. And it will probably add stupid trophies so my 100% wouldnt be 100% anymore -__-

Unless of course the entire dlc takes place in a prison, in which case they'll just cut & paste the one from feralden, sadly given the dlc track record this seems REALLY likely to occur

Now the question is, if it doesn't take place in Orlais, where would it take place? bioware wrote themselves into a corner on this, they can't just deus ex machina a new area that this all happand in

Actually, that's a good point. Granted, it's a little more expensive than the Darkspawn Chronicles, which could suggest there's actual new content in it (new meaning models and textures), but that could easily just be covering the cost of the voice acting.
If they can at least give us one Orlesian city (something on the scale of Aramanthine, with dungeons and so on as well), then it might be interesting, but I have a feeling that won't be the case...
...It'll probably be set in Lothering or something.

Assume the role of Leliana, a young bard involved in a criminal ring
that deals in political secrets. Accompanying her mentor Marjolaine on a
high-risk mission, Leliana soon finds herself entangled in a game of
intrigue that she cannot escape with just her beauty, charm, or stealth.
The only way out of this game is to kill or be killed.
Shes accompanying her mentor Marjolaine, didn't Leliana learn her bard skills in Orlais? That'd be cool, different syles of building architecture and new sorts of cloths or something.
They may have a bigger Orlais in the works for DA2, so maybe they are slipping some of that stuff into this.

i'm all for fair and stuff, but are you seriously going to try and make the case that a tiny country outsold a continent? a continent where the publisher's hq is?Kenrae wrote...

Well, an American based company at an American based event for a game whose main audience is in North America announcing something related to one of their largest and most popular franchises to a small Eastern European nation doesn't make much sense any way you put it, why announce something to one of the smallest percentages of your market before announcing it to your main audience.
Whose main audience is in North America? Are there figures about how many copies have been sold on every country?
Of course not, I was thinking about Europe as a whole. I don't know what the figures are, that's why I asked since TheMadCat seemed so sure maybe he had some info I don't have.

It probably will be set in Orlais (that's where her bardic exploits took place) ... but yes, I doubt they'll reveal a large portion of it, it probably will just involve a section of a city, and probably not Val Royeaux, that Marjolaine has operations in.

Mass Effect 2 is still rolling out DLC's, a new one came out just last week which to me was the best DLC for ME2 thus far. Hope Dragon Age continues to follow suit as well.
