It probably will be set in Orlais (that's where her bardic exploits took place) ... but yes, I doubt they'll reveal a large portion of it, it probably will just involve a section of a city, and probably not Val Royeaux, that Marjolaine has operations in.

Eh? They haven't said it takes place before she came to Ferelden anywhere in the features or in Victors post. Plus it's not like they haven't already brushed aside the original lore for the sake of entertainment, wave hello to Darkspawn Chronicles over there.

It's a $7 DLC, meaning it's going to be along the lines of Warden's Keep. It could take place in Orlais, but if it does it'll be in generic location # 423 and it will still look "Ferelden" in style because of the amount of work needed to rework models and create new texture and patterns. I'm just trying to let people who are getting giddy at the thought of seeing Orlais and Val Royeaux in all it's splendor know it's more then likely going to be a quick dungeon romp through some generic location.

I could see it take place technically in Orlais- but set it in an area of Orlais right next to the Ferelden border. Maybe some place like Jader, which if you look at the map of Thedas is like right next to Ferelden. That way they have a reason for everything still looking the same as areas in Origins, even if its technically Orlais.

I'd doubt it will be anywhere like Val Royeaux- they're likely saving those sorts of big reveals for full games, not DLC.

I wonder what kind of abilities she will have. Since it is a younger Leliana, logic would say that she would have to be weaker than when you meet her in Lothering, but I hope they put a little spin on it to make the battle mechanics fun, so you don't just have a couple entry level abilities.
