I'm somewhat confused. Is Mass effect 2 DLC only linked to the profile on which they were downloaded? It was my understanding that xbox live DLC, once installed by a user, was accessable to all other users on that console. I am curious to know If this is the case as it might mean that I am unable to access the DLC I payed for.

Yes, that's how it works. I buy DLC, my wife'a gamertag can access it all. She got the Overlord email on her personal terminal last night, and the flag appears on her map, though she has yet to complete it.

Edit: Accessible to all gamertags on the ORIGINAL Xbox it was purchased on, yes.

Okay I cannot access dlc on my profile and the redeem codes were entered on another account. My xbox had been replaced in the past by microsoft but the redeem codes were enterd on the new console. what should I do?

You need to redownload them on the other account in order to access them again, this can be done by going to account management and checking your download history. Again, since the DLC was redeemed on that other account, it can only be retrieved from the download history of that account.

I tried that and it doesn't seem to work. some content such as Cerberus network and blood dragon armor doesn't even appear in the download history.

This is horribly frustrating. What exactly is going on here? I see that there are many others with similar sorts of problems is the a Microsoft drm issue or is it an some sort of ea account issue? is there anybody working on this?

I have the same issue. I downloaded Kasuimi and Overlord with a profile onto my xbox HDD (I haven't moved the DLC since it was downloaded). No other profile can access the DLC.



The real problem is that my profile with the Mass Effect 2 savegames was not the one I downloaded the DLC with.... so I can't play it with my real character and have to start again or buy the DLC AGAIN (which I won't be doing).



This needs a patch fix ASAP. I'm very disappointed :'(

If you go to your galaxy map it will be there, even though it says you still need to buy it at the start menu!!!!
