I didnt buy Darkspawn Chronicles and not sure about buying this either, to be honest.



Dont get me wrong, I liked Leliana and really wanted to go to Orleis.



But I want to play as my warden character, with all the choices I made reflected. I want to go to Orleis with Leliana, not play a prequel that stands alone.



I would have loved a DLC that happened post-game, where Leliana gets an urgent message to go to Orleis and you go with her and help her out. One that reflects your romance, Marjoliane decisions from DA etc.



I havent played it yet, of course, so wont rule it out, but I am a little disappointed.

No one shall get in my way of downloading this the minute it becomes available. Leliana is one of my favorite characters from DA

Only an expansion or sequel would do justice to carrying on the Warden/LI storyline. A DLC lasting only 2-3 hours would not be detailed enough to carry on a romance. Also, players who did not choose Leliana as a LI would not buy the DLC. As a prequel, everyone has some reason to buy it.

Personally, I think it's a lead-up to Dragon Age 2 to be released on Feb 2011. This DLC will introduce us to Orlais. At the end of it, we know that Leliana winds up in the Chantry in Lothering but there's a lot of loose ends to be tied up in Orlais - not to mention Leliana's desire to go back and settle some scores!! Morrigan is also rumoured to be in the court of Orlais as well. This definitely sounds like DA2.

will prob get this, but would much rather have a storie using my warden or at the very least a story i dont already know the outcome to. still the only DA dlc thats even interested so far so guess it i shouldnt complain too much.

I personally think Feb 2011 will be another expansion pack and not Dragon Age 2, as they said they had 2 years worth of DLC for Dragon Age Origins/Awakening, so i doubt they will release a sequel before they have wrapped up on the first game, plus Feb 2011 doesn't give BioWare much time before origins and a sequel, and they need to fix the first game before they release a 2nd. I'd be happy with expansion 2 if it brings some of the old characters back.

That's exactly what I think about this DLC, I am gonna buy it anyway because I defintely love Leliana but I really don't get Bioware choices...

Realllly happy to see this expansion. I love the Lelinana character and if rightly done, this DLC could be gold.



Oh and Bioware, I would love to have a wallpaper with the Leliana SA, just like the picture for the Leliana's Song publicity on the webpage!

No, it doesn't come close, but compared to what Windows has been. It is at least stable. I have had friends playing DA on 7 and have really enjoyed the experience. I wish my laptop would run Dragon Age, until I get my desktop built.

EDIT: Really sorry for getting off topic. But I have to agree that having a Shale one both as Dwarf and Golem for DLC would be great. I wonder if it would be a collaorative writing effort?

Also, I haven't seen it asked yet, but who wrote the Storyline for this one?

I've always wanted to see Orlais, so I'm well happy with this

It's going to be interesting (at least to me) to see just how Leliana wound up in the Chantry - granted, she alludes to it throughout the story, but kind of glosses over it.

@ozenglish: Yes. I'd love to see that. Seriously, I love Shale's personality as a golem but I would want to see what led her to be one. Maybe in a future DLC we'll have that story *fingers crossed*

I'm looking forward to seeing Dragon Age with a fully voice-acted protagonist, just like in Mass Effect. This was the only slight weakness in the original DAO game for me.

Would be amusing to play through some of his "first missions" and see first-hand what Crows training/initiation is like? Find out what the tattoos mean and where on his body they cover.

I wouldn't mind learning the stories behind them either, but does that last mean your PC hasn't romanced Zev?  

I only ask because (even without the NB, RL, or similar mod)  you can pretty much tell what's inked when he joins you in your tent.

I'd like to play some of his early missions. He seems to be assigned female targets quite often. Or do his convo options change when the PC is a male? I've not done guy-gay relationship yet.

Regarding the first point, it's a little hard to say.

The default way it works:

1.  "Bodies" are independent of "heads" (though they're usually called "faces", as in "See my latest Morrigan facemorph.")

2.  "Bodies" (partially clothed, or otherwise) are depicted using generic "models" for each race and gender.

3.  Since, (in any and all views shown in the OC) it appears that Zev uses the "Elf-Male" body,  one would conclude that his tats are all above the clavicle.

4.  It is possible to employ a unique "body look" using the Toolset, (most easily by creating a special item of the type "armor") that has whatever skin art or other decoration desired.  But this solution does not work seamlessly, since the resulting appearance would have to be "put on" each time -- like a robe.

5.  And it  is totally possible to generate a more complete solution involving an entirely new Elf-Male model, again decorated as desired.  This can include detailing arms, legs, and torso independently.  Several such bodymorphs are out there.
(As you might expect, the most common do NOT involve clothing!  )

6.  I'm not sure, but I think that restricting it to Only Zev  would require access to the game's internals.  Otherwise, EVERY  Elf male, including the PC, (if he is one) would have the identical new look as well.

As to your second query:  I realized that playing with Equal Love installed is not exactly the same thing as playing each gender separately as designed. 
So I don't know if his "previous mission" stories change then or not!    Can anyone out there enlighten us?

This is interesting, tbh.  Loved Leliana in DA:O, and think it's very cool we get to experience her past.  Want to know what this reward is.  Please tell me it's not a bow.  I already have one.  What's that you say?? It's Official Leliana Sacred Ashes armor???  I'm all over that! *hint hint*
