This one can be a right solution but... Fans won't be even happy of a DLC dedicated to her.. What if you reduce her to a side quest? Tons of flames and angry people running through this forum then...you'll see

If they choose to go the villian route, they'll probably just have a different Evil-God-Child origin story for female wardens and those who didn't romance Morrigan that involves some other blood-magic pregnancy hoodoo on Morrigan's part, (maybe involving her seducing some unsuspecting guard before the big battle and using blood from a warden that she could have collected at any time...like say when the warden was recuperating in Flemeth's cabin).

Already discussed it elsewhere... it wouldn't  be a working solution for me, cause it wouldn't explain why someone in my playtrough had to die to kill the Archdemon... Therefore no... This one shouldn't be a solution I could accept

Anyway... We'll knew this sooner or later.. For now I am going to enjoy this DLC... Let's see if/what will happen with Morrigan and other companions in a future...

Why wouldn't it explain why someone had to die to kill the archdemon? You still had to get rid of it to end the Blight. There was just a little bit of deviousness from Morrigan (which completely fits her character) going on behind your Warden's back. Seeing as how she's having to do some other ceremony, other than sleeping with the Warden who delivers the death blow, it still seems like the death of the archdemon could overwhelm the person delivering the deathblow and its soul still be transferred to Morrigan's unborn. That seems perfectly acceptable to me.

I mean, if you just don't want Morrigan and the child involved at all, sorry... but from some early posts I had shut down because of potential spoilers (about the fertility of dwarf and human pairings in lore of all things) it looks like she is going to play a major role in the next game, whether you want her to or not.

No.. I am not at the level of "I hate her".. I am not into the group of players who don't wanna even see her, but just into that group of players who don't mind anything about her.. Really, I don't like her but I don't hate her.. She is a carachter I don't like but she is totally indifferent to me... Therefore I won't cry if I'll never see her again, and I won't be angry if I'll have to see her again UNLESS they will screw up my story with her, as I already said

And about her role in future games, for what I know, we have only rumors and we know very well how much rumors count.. We haven't any news about DA2, nor about that mysterious date 02.01.2011, we have nothing far now, except what they release day by day as a DLC.. That's the only news we have.. All we know by now is that we are going to discover more about the past of Leliana... All the other things are just a big question mark

It's not surprising.. I remember when we were questioning about the lack of a Final Save in Awakening and someone from Bioware (Melo? I don't remember well...) told us "There isn't a final save because future DLCs won't need it and when we'll release them you'll figure out why"

No final save => No DLC to be played with your character... 
It's so easy....

It's not surprising.. I remember when we were questioning about the lack of a Final Save in Awakening and someone from Bioware (Melo? I don't remember well...) told us "There isn't a final save because future DLCs won't need it and when we'll release them you'll figure out why"

No final save => No DLC to be played with your character... 
It's so easy....

The devs said Awakening was by far the largest expansion they'll do for DAO so I doubt we'll see anything that large again BUT there are other loose ends that need tying they could use the Warden for like dealing with Morrigan....they have said they plan other companion based DLC we'll hear about soon but not like Leliana's Song which is just Leliana's personal story so it won't be like this.

I dunno. At the very least, the elf mage shown in the trailer looks a lot like my character. Depending on how things play out, I might be able to PRETEND it's me...

It's really to early to be able to foresee anything about DA2.. Who knows what they have in their mind? Until they won't give us any news...

But if you just want my bet and what I feel.....well... mmm.... forget about him/her !

mmm... it doesn't look like an high dragon.. Maybe it is just a young dragon 
Anyway, I am already used at it, since in my last playtrough, in her statistics, under stronger enemy killed voice I have "Archdragon" lol

Seeing as how they are also working on patches to fix the base game, it actually makes sense to release stand alone DLC right now. You don't want to release DLC that impacts your main character if the game is still bug ridden.

Which makes me a sad puppy.  I'm really not interested in these other things.  I want to play my PC, not a borrowed character.

I'm really happy about this DLC. I like Leliana and to be able to play in her past is a great idea to me. I love my PCs, but it's refreshing to play another one. I just hope it will be as good as I think it will. Thanks Bioware!



PS: and the soundtrack seems A1. The sample of Captivity on the homepage is plain great to my ears

Ah that screenshot takes me back to that one stuck up chantry punk in Lothering that had the key to Sten's cage and I made a strong hint that thigns wouldn't go well for her if she didn't hand over the key and everyone tripped the hell out on me even my companions and I couldn't follow through with that path.......hopefully Leliana can get stabhappy in this DLC.

I remember Leliana tripping out on me when I threatened that chantry punk but if Leliana stabs away in this DLC then she's completely forgiven as far as I'm concerned.

Seriously... we want to know more about the characters, this makes perfect sense for them to do, and it's my absolute favorite DA character, second favorite BioWare character ever and possibly dead even with that all the way up to the category of 'characters in videogames'...

1. I was joke 2. yes I do realize that it is a prequal and she has changed since than, but even though she changed her ways I do still think she didn't really have the right to critize people so harsh (like with the priest in lothering) when they do the same thing that she used to do. Now I not saying she shouldn't find it wrong I just saying that she really has no place to judge. however I like her enough that I don't really care if she was being hypocritcal .

lol wut? By my count it is Thursday morning of July 1st which leaves about 6 days until the DLC is out not 7 days so certainly not a week.
