Does this DLC takes place in Orlais or Ferelden? Looking at the trailers it looks like she was captured here in Ferelden and doesn't that contradict what she said about being caught in Orlais?

Still haven't decided if I'll get this one or not. I didn't get Darkspawn Chronicles cus it just didn't interest me but I really like Lel and bards even more. Only thing is this seems like something to play once, briefly, and then it's done. RtO and Warden's Keep have replay value for every subsequent character so the price for those seemed just fine for me.

I was thinking about this as well. She does try and hide her past, and is very vague about what the specifics were about her backstory. I don't know if she actually said it took place in Orlais, or if we just assumed that because she lived and worked there. She does hint at being "brought" to Ferelden and "ending" up in Ferelden as being part of the makers plan, and you kinda feel like she is hinting that she was betrayed here. But we shall see what happens. I for one am interested to see what they do, I hope they put enough time and energy into it.

From the official trailer, it is highly possible that the story will still be take place in Ferelden.

It would be cool to get a little glimpse of Orlais though. It takes a lot of work however... I really have no idea what to expect from this, and Bioware is pretty secretive about it's DLC's, so I guess we will just find out when it's released.

I don't think so... This is a look they studied for her just for the DLC.. we have never seen her that way before
Therefore you won't be able to find picture of Leliana with the aspect she has into DLC.

If you mean the rendered version of her in the promo materials, that's what she looks like in the so-called "Sacred Ashes" trailer, which was done by a production house outside BioWare and likely used concept art rather than final character designs.  You can download a version of Leliana inspired by that trailer here:

Question. With the announcement that Stealing will not be fixed before this DLC is released, how will that affect it? Seeing as Leliana is a Rogue/Bard and probably there are some more Rogue types in the story, isn't stealing like to be either important to the play or at least something players will want to do, RP-wise?

About the patch, mybe they want to release that at the same date ( July 6) like with Overlord DLC for ME2...

They said they will not release the patch before the DLC... But I wouldn't say just because "stealing" doesn't work in Dragon Age Origins, that it wouldn't work in a separate DLC.

From what I understand, plot items and money can be stolen easily and without hassle. The only thing you will be unable to steal are random items/set items that are not plot items. Yeah, this is kinda bad RP wise, but not tragically irrepairable. Just download a stealing fix mod. There are quite a few.

Honestly I don't think that stealing will be so important for this DLC.. It's a stand alone adventure. The level you reach, the xp points gained, the objects and the money you will collect are thing which are an end in themselves.

Moreover...We aren't going to play a rogue for a DAO game, but the personal history of Leliana for the time of a DLC..I trust that BW will have focus more on the story than on the game mechanics, I guess dialogues and combats will be the core of this DLC.. If stealing was of any importance they wouldn't release DLC before the patch..

Therefore my advice is just "enjoy the story" and don't mind too much about anything else...

Not for consoles there aren't. Even if there were, it's not really the modding community's responsibility to address functionality defects in the game engine. Stealing is listed as fixed in 1.04 though.

The newly updated "Captivity" by Inon Zur is just incredibly beautiful. Can't wait to see what other pieces of music await us in the new dlc.

I certainly hope there will be some way for us to download it somehow.
