Maybe she felt being round too many people at one time was too much temptation to squish heads lol

I definitely do, though only a minor version it seems. I've played the ending twice, and both times I've made Anora queen, but both times when I went to ask Alistair about the ritual, he acted like he was king. He then proceeded to make the speech to the armies instead of Anora.
Thankfully, that seems to have been the extent of it. Anora showed up as queen after the final battle and in Awakening, as well as in the epilogue.
Shale wasn't mentioned at the end for me, either.
Hope these things get fixed.

I heard that she appears only if your character has 100 approval. I have yet to get that much because her gifts only give like 5 then straight down to 1. Anyways, I doubt that she does appear at all...

No, Shale never appears at coronation, I had 100 approval from her many times. It's a bug caused by the way DLC are detected on consoles.SOLID_EVEREST wrote...

I have made my female city elf Bann of the Alienage and in the epiq cards it states that Sieanne (sorry about misspelling ) she ended up becoming the elder. Also with my female elf mage I freed the circle and it isn't acknowledged in Awakening.

I had Alistair make the final sacrifice (F dwarf noble), and yet for the most part people acted like he was still alive in the aftermath - even in the epilogue it said he and Anora ruled jointly and he became a popular king. Only wynne even acknowledged his death :/
