CJ: Yes you is lucky! Anyway the point is I don't think we need Bio to be the guinea pig for this as they have plenty of good stuff coming as is now and still have issues to iron out to deliver better.

Yes that would be a better approach. Some developers are dedicating to it exclusively and that should act as a platform for other developers to get some ideas and knowledge. It will probably be best to let those titles be the trial and error and leave the "heavy" developers like Bioware to pick up the leasons learnt log some years later and make something that is worth it.

@GL: Don't remind me. Some people were saying how cool it would be to take cover behind your sofa to throw grenades.... *cries*
Also Sony with this 3d thing... sigh...

Oh 3D is great.
However the eye strain and headaches are not.

I usually play games for many hours in a row. I can play watching a monitor/tv and I realize that isn't great for my eyes either, however I can do this for hours on end without much trouble. I tried playing some 3d titles and my eyes starting hurting at 15 minutes and after an hour it was almost unbearable

Here is something interesting from 1999

@GL: Yes cutscenes and thee like look good, especially in open environments. But then this is just an improvement and not an innovation as it wouldn't radically change the way we game but rather add something to it.
@Onyx: I am confident that Sony will support their 3d push without taking away from non 3d gamers so I am relieved. I have tried the screens without glasses, it hurts nonetheless

@Cel: I don't see how that is the same as the Kinect? The Wii and the Sensor are two separate devices and he is inverting it to create this. Kinect is only one device that is tracking you and cannot be inverted. I'm confused.

But wat is the receiver? What he did with the Wii was use the wiimote to counter track the camera. How would you counter track Kinect to reflect that added depth on the output

Are you reading this by any chance? Because it seems contradictory

But then that still needs the googles, and is not about the Kinect but rather motion tracking, which is more expansive.
The sans-lens idea is more interesting, although then you need the 3d tv.

I see what you mean. We'll have to wait and see, but it would seem that they either haven't invested into it or are trying to keep a simple message by not bringing 3d into the equation.
