So, I go in to check on some tactics for Wynne and the preset ones such
as healer, damager, etc have been wiped and will not reset.  This is the
same for all classes of my party, it will only allow me to customize
and not give them preset tactics. I'm playing on the Xbox as well, any
thoughts?

Yeah. When you first get your characters they have various preset for each person. However, the preset that is called "custom" is only temporary. Once you make changes, it's no longer there as a "preset." Of course you're going to want to completely overhaul everyone's tactics eventually but yeah.....that can be a pain if you've forgotten how they were set up and liked them as such.

This just started happening to me too. I played through the game once completely and half way a few times now and was able to, as an example, change Morrigan from Damager to Supporter to Custom back to Damager etc. and all of the preset spells and my Custom spells would stay there.



Now any time I try to change them, using the above example, as soon as I switch from Damager to Supporter, all of the preset spells for Supporter are gone and when I switch back to Damager all of those spells are gone now too. So every preset set of tactics are all cleared. The only one that sticks is Custom.



I usually cycle through them depending who I have in my party and what enemy I am facing, it's just easier for me that way instead of constantly redoing the Custom list.

You may want to try clearing the cache on the xbox. I just cleared mine and the tactics seem to be sticking so far. I didn't try changing the individual spells, but just switching from Archer to Scrapper and back again kept all the spells intact.

Wow... This happened to me too. How do you clear the cache on the xbox???

I have this problem also. I know this is an old thread, but I do not see a solution that works. I tried the cleaning of the cache. Once I did that and booted up the game, it declared it needed to download something. I tried to ignore it, but the game would not run unless I did the download.

I have blank tactics. Only the custom type have anything What is the solution?
