For some reason, my Vanguard couldn't get a lock on the Human Reaper....

Ymir mechs are normally the best to charge when they just have their health left, shoot their head off and run the hell out of the way cause they nuke everything around them.
Normally with the collectors its not as useful cause its dangerous as hell if theres another one near them, but eh, all a matter of fun imo

I found Charge to be very effective on Collectors on Insanity, just not Harbinger. You need to strip his Barrier away first because he moves too damned fast face-to-face; it's pretty much suicide. Charge saved my life a lot during the final battle, though. It's just annoying that Charge will fail going through the flying platforms if you're too close to them.Michael177 wrote...
mmm in insanity you have to make sure you time it right and have a decent shotty (claymore pref).

I charge everything except the ReaperSure I die sometimes but it's bloody good fun.
That. It takes patience and practice but it's definitely doable. Take a peek at some of my vids to see me charging all sorts of big things. I don't like cover very much

I did that when I was first learning how to use a Vanguard. I died many times. It was awesome. I can't remember when I had so much fun dying.Simbacca wrote...

Same here. I died so many times on Garrus's loyalty because I'd charge down to the first floor and try to take on all the mercs myself. So many deaths, so much fun. It felt like cheating (not to mention horribly wrong) when I used the Viper on my NG+ and ended up not dying once.Pacifien wrote...

Oh it was hard (and fun), especially since this was on Insanity and my first playthrough of ME2 ever, but it was so awesome once I got the hang of it. It's great being able to charge just about anything now, with the proper setup and positioning of course.
After I finish a playthrough with every class, I'm going back to the Vanguard to try my first NG+ run. The last bit of challenge I can squeeze out of the game, fighting level 30 enemies without any upgrades for my Vanguard.

With all shotugun upgrades the Claymore will one-shot any enemy with a single full defensive layer on top of a health bar when shot at the head at point-blank range... on [i]Insanity[i]! I crapped my pants when I discovered this during the Derelict Reaper mission and all-of-a-sudden missions were being completed three times as fast.beau haut-parleur wrote...
only use charge if your enemy has been stripped of their shield/ barrier. oh and make sure you haven't already been targeted by the YMIR mech's rocket. they WILL stop your charge
The most satisfying action is skipping an entire area with charge. When there is an open area with enemies that are far away near a zoning area, just charge to them as fast as you can and no more fighting! I did this in the final area of Zaeed's Loyalty mission on the YMIR mech before the bridge extended. Unfortunately you have to kill it before you can open the door and exit.

I discovered that charge feature when I did the first mission of the Blue Suns chain, where they're supposed to be streaming out of the base. First one opens the door, I charged him, door shut, and I just sat for about 10 seconds waiting for them to come out.ArmeniusLOD wrote...

As it's been said, everything but the reaper is chargable and I sure did charge everything I could. Even YMIRs become cake once you learn to circle-strafe the right way. Humanoid elites are especially easy, because the epic elbow stuns them even through defenses.
