I just inadvertantly bought a copy of Dragon Age Origins Awakeening from ebay and didn't notice that it was the french version.  Is there any way to convert it to the English version that anyone knows of?

Which platform? And have you tried installing/playing it yet?



I believe by default Awakening should play in whatever language you were playing Origins in (it comes with all languages). I'm not 100% on that last part for all platforms though, hence the questions.

and i have disk, but there just 1 language to install, how to convert to english? Problem is that DLC is not going in my language (((

Different packages of DAO/DAA were sold for different geographical areas with different language packs.
Now to see what you have:
Open the DAA DVD , open the "data" folder and look for the rars for the language...
Its the game installer that asks the language question. and it only loads the selected language..

While I think its possible to unpack the language rar into the game folder (and not have to reinstall the game), I cant give you exact directions on how to do this... but if youre willing to experiment (but backup your game and character saves!!) let us know if it works:
Just unpack the two rar files (one for text and one for VO) into the dragon age folder. Open the DA:O configuration utility and select the language you wish for text and audio (the selection is made under the topic 'Video' (!))
