Someone should have taught you how "Google" works young man.
Which windows version is he using? XP? If so, you can probably just do a repair install from the XP disc. Had to do that one time when a virus starting deleting all my files in that folder. Fun stuff.

Basically depending on which version of windows and what recovery disk that may have come with a pre-built machine (if it is one), you'll have to reinstall windows without overwriting the user files. System restore isn't reliable when you go off and delete system 32, heh. Worst case scenario you can always uninstall the hard drive on his machine, install it elsewhere on a working machine and get his contracts copied out, then reinstall everything afterward.

Seagloom, would you please lock this. We're clearly dealing with a spammer who thinks he's funny.

I don't know he's using Vista and we don't have a Vista disc he's coming home in 30 minutes.

Guess you better start screaming at it pretty soon then huh?
Made me burst out laughing. And as for the OP, I think you should turn over every stone looking for the disk because it takes a while to install.

Ah ****, any ideas for excuses? I don't want him to pull out the bamboo stick.
You will take the shinai like a man. You will not cry. You need to be strong, or Vista wins.

If there's anyone else home, blame them. Otherwise, say Satan possesed you and took the form of a fly on the window sill and threatened to kill your family if you didn't do it.....works every time.

Maybe you should take a stand then. You probably know a weakness of his or two. It's best to formulate some kind of strategem and use the element of surprise. If you can pull it off before he sees you ransack the house while he's in a mini-coma. And claim you came home to find him on the floor and his computer stolen.Canned Bullets wrote...

I still have bad memories from over a decade ago of a very important project for school being FUBARed by my younger brother killing the computer it was stored on the night before it was due and I was about to print out the 100 page report.
Computers don't kill people -> they just make people wish they were dead.
