Hey guys, I'd do this myself, but the Dragon Age toolset sort of makes me want to bang my head on my desk.

Anyway, I was probably one of the five people who actually enjoyed the Darkspawn Chronicles DLC, especially because of the Hurlock Vanguard. Enthralling other Darkspawn to fight for me was such an interesting and enjoyable gameplay mechanic, I always felt it was a shame it wasn't possible in the main game.

So... I was wondering, would anybody skilled enough in the toolset consider making a mod where the Vanguard is recruitable in Origins and/or Awakening?
(though I guess it might need some work to make the various Darkspawn show up in the summoned monster slots instead of the main party slots)

But you're fighting the Darkspawn, not recruiting them? :-D



Though if you have Awakening in mind, you could think that the Hurlock has a free mind, now that he's able to speak and has turned against other Darkspawn? That would be the only logical thing when you're talking about recruiting him, though I don't think a Warden would really like it .

Hey now, my Warden sided with the Disciples every chance he got. 

But yeah, it would probably work best for a free-willed Darkspawn.

Actually, I have played it. Fun, if a little short.

Which is kind of why I want a Vanguard in the main game- it'd last longer.
