what is the best heavy armor set in the game? like i've always been a fan of the Armor of Diligence and the ceremonial armor, but is there a set that is made of dragon bone and looks just as good?

I'm not crazy about the look of the normal heavy chainmail. i think it looks cheap

For heavy armor, hard for me to pass getting Evons mail and Wade's Superior heavy mail combo. It has only ca.3 pts of Fatigue after bonsuses, and offers 21 pts of armor. At 1:7, that appears to be the most Fatigue friendly armor in the game. And the additional bonuses are terrific.

The only downside for me is that almost every one of my Warden's use 'em which gets stale, and a little confusing at times as I can forget which character I am playing.... *grumbles something about failing vision*

Clarify please, do you want to know what looks best? Has the best stats or both? Do you imply heavy armor literaly or "Hevier" armors in general?



Taking your most literal approach to your question I would agree with Elhanan.

Evon the Greats Mail with Wades Superior Dragonscale Boots and Gloves then helmet of your choice is the best Heavy Armor set.

I suggest Executioners Helm for the +25 Stamina or Helm of Honnleath to go with it for the +2 to all attributes, your choice really. Coupled with Spellward Necklace, Andurils Blessing Belt, key to the city and whatever other ring you want your a force to be reckoned with.

It does look kinda bland though but has arguably the best armor stats you can get in the entire game.

Well teh one suggested is heavy armor, Cailans is Massive so theres gonna be a differance but heres the stats.

does anyone know what heavy armor is the one that looks like a silverite version of ceremonial armor?

i've seen alot of NPCs wearing it like one of the militia in redcliffe, an one of the soldiers in ostagar

help i really want that armor...

i think you're looking for the armor of diligence. The boots can be bought from the smith in redcliffe after the night siege, and the gloves are locked in a chest in the back of the shaperates building in orzammars diamond quarters and the armor can be found in the ruins where andraste's ashes are, they'll be on a dead night. hope that helps.

yeah i like stormchaser too, but it's in awakening. i want something that looks like diligence or the ceremonial but is of tier 7 strength.

i have diligence armor
i meant like one of those silverite version of ceremonial armor like they are similar designs but different colors i've seen quite a few dwarves wearing it during the cutscene of the marching into the final battle(not the dwarven heavy armor)

I think that Evon The Great's mail along with Wade's Superior Dragonscale goes very well together and if you're in PC you can get a mod that can make it look like Ceremonial Armor Set DRAGONBONE:D

Then Evon's with Wade's dragonscale boots and gloves. Can't get better in anilla as far as heavy armors go.
For Awakening, you'd want to use Venture, stormchaser gauntlets, fleet feet and add the helm of dragon's peak on top for a full tier-9 heavy armor non-set with ludicrous stats.

I like Wade's Superior Heavy Armor for the fatigue reduction and stamina regen +4 for the set. It looks really nice on Sten/Oghren or any two handed fighter. Alistair looks better in a dragonbone version of Cailan's armor.

I think Teyrn Loghain's armor looks the coolest. The best heavy armor has to be Evon the Great's mail with Wade's.

I cant relate to the "It looks cool" mindset as that will get you killed in pvp games lol



Id wear a Picasso painting if it gave me better stats then a solid golden plate armor.

^ Thought I was the same, but I find myself losing the Thane helm as fast as possible due to the silly masked appearance. Plus, it is the helm of choice for Blackstone dropouts....

Best looking: I can't say depends on taste, to me Dwarf Heavy

i understood its juggernaut and legion of the dead armor. Wade's superior dragon bone is also very good

Elemental resist isn't all that great, so I never found the Juggernaut set to be particularly noteworthy. Without dlc I'd go straight for Wade' superior set, assuming you're talking about massive now.
