If you save your xbox 360 copy of DAO onto an external hard drive, can you add user created content to it by going into the files on the flash drive?

if not is there a way to get user created content on the XBOX ver?

there is no legal way of getting Community content onto any console. modding is for PC only.

Can someone please point out to me a major console game that allows for user created mods? (and no, LittleBigPlanet does not count, as that is the sole raison-d'etre of that game) Why do we get posts like this every month? Haven't console gamers learned this yet? Why do they persist in buying these kinds of games on the console if they wanted user content at this level?

EDIT: And no, this really isn't sarcasm. I'm actually quite curious to know from where they are getting these hilarious expectations. Is there some library of console games with user-moddable content that I've simply never heard of that would justify this kind of expectation?

Not everyone has been a hardcore PC gamer for the past 10 years. Consoles exist because they are more accessible than PCs, both in price and ease of use. If you are not familiar with how games (or mods) are made, there's no obvious reason why user-created content can't be on consoles.

That said here's another thread about this that explains why this isn't going to happen on consoles (at least this gen of consoles):

I get that they wouldn't be familiar with all the reasons for "why not". I'm just wondering why they would expect this in the first place? I mean a can literally not think of a single console game that supports user content. In other words, as a casual console gamer having been exposed to all the other easily accessible console games out there, none of which offer user content, where do they get the expectation that this one suddenly would? I dunno, it just seems weird to me.

there's the game pariah for the original X-Box that let you make your own map

the reason I expect it is because consoles and pc's are both used by hardcore gamers, and it makes sense that they should both have the same (or similar) features...

Those have the tools built into the game though, and they are generally a lot more limited. You can't create totally new content with it, only reuse existing content.

I know one whole game for PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 that allows two of those three supported platforms to have mods, and the Xbox 360 is not the console that gets them. The game in question is Unreal Tournament 3; of course, I'm not sure just how comperable the maps and other UT3 content are to Dragon Age mods, so it's hard to say if there is a chance that the PS3 would ever get user mods.

Consoles and PC having the same features? Thats a wish u can long wait for. I dont know much about consoles but i assume the difference would be clear to someone having one lol..

I only remember a console where you inserted that cardridge ? clunky thing with the game into it and then played some silly game until you couldnt hear the same tune anymore lol.

I'm sure there are ways. I remember downloading modded KOTOR 1 and 2 saves to my original xbox with AR
