 After I download the patch it wont let the play function on the start menu work. Anyone know the problem?

I have to start by inserting the disk. None of my shortcuts work on the taskbar or desktop.

you mean the windows start menu ? try running the game launcher and then click plau , i think it'll work

Same problem here. Just DL'ed the patch, now the shortcut, when clicked, opens the splash page that you need to click "play" on and nothing happens. All the other buttons (configure, support, documentation, etc) all work, but when I click "Play"... nada.

just browse to where you installed your game and create a new shortcut to the game's launcher. The patch breaks all the game's default shortcuts. The CD launcher should work if you bought the CD copy.

What is happening?!! I've downloaded the patch, and I can´t make the game work at all!! Great patch.. BIOWARE, HELP!!!

people need to READ... I've personally posted the fix over 30 times in different threads and there are others with similar counts. Because people won't look down the entire page of threads... the fix thread hasn't left page 1 since I've been awake today due to constant bumping... it's here read it and help bump it to keep it at the top...

Jironghrad just give up, I posted it tons also to the point where I put it in my signature instead because I was starting to get really nasty about it. The search function on the forum doesnt work so these imbeciles decide they are the first one with the problem ever and make a thread about it. Its pathetic how helpless they are. I had the problem friday and 5 minutes later I had found the fix and was back in my game. Unlike the pathetic mewling masses who need to be spoon fed everything.
