Hello.
Today I decided to purchase some Downloadable Content for my games. I bought 2x 1600 BioWare Points, I.E. a total of 3200 BioWare Points.
I started off buying Return to Ostagar, Feastday Combo Pack, and the Overlord Pack. This appeared to work, as the items appeared on "Your registered game promotions" and left me with a total balance of 2000 BioWare Points.
Then I attempted to purchase Kasumi: Stolen Memory for Mass Effect 2. After the checkout, however, it told me that I had purchased Return to Ostagar again, and left me with a total of 1600 BioWare Points. Feeling that this was just a trivial glitch, I once again tried to purchase Kasumi.
AGAIN, the checkout told me that I had purchased Return to Ostagar, and that my BioWare Point balance was 1200.
My current point statement looks like this;
Date
Item
Amount
17 Jun 2010 19:33 GMT
Overlord Pack
- 560 BioWare points
17 Jun 2010 19:36 GMT
Return to Ostagar
- 400 BioWare points
17 Jun 2010 19:35 GMT
Return to Ostagar
- 400 BioWare points
17 Jun 2010 19:25 GMT
Added 1600
+ 1600 BioWare points
17 Jun 2010 19:30 GMT
Feastday Combo Pack
- 240 BioWare points
17 Jun 2010 19:29 GMT
Return to Ostagar
- 400 BioWare points
17 Jun 2010 19:19 GMT
Added 1600
+ 1600 BioWare points
(I have no idea why my purchases aren't listed in the order in which I actually bought them, but you can figure it out by looking at the dates)
As is apparent from this list, I have indeed purchased Return to Ostagar 3 times. The last 2 times (the ones dated 19:35 and 19:36) were my attempts to purchase Kasumi. Why does it say that I purchased Return to Ostagar instead???
Furthermore, Dragon Age doesn't seem to think that I've actually bought Return to Ostagar. After logging in in-game, the DLC screen lists Return to Ostagar as available for 400 BioWare Points, despite me having bought it already.
I am tremendously upset by this debacle. I would REALLY like to have Kasumi in ME2 and play Return to Ostagar. Right now, none of this seems possible. I really hope this is all just a trivial problem that will resolve itself, but right now it seems as if I spent 800 BioWare Points on nothing. All help in resolving this issue is appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
DLC purchases not working - Return to Ostagar purchased 3 times?

Please contact EA support and they'll be able to sort that out for you. Let me know if you don't get any response after a few days.
Also, not sure if a factor in this case, but in general always ensure you avoid using the browser's back button or re-submitting purchase requests if they are taking a while around any web transactions (not just ours) and that you have things like cookies and javascript turned on - that'll minimize the chances of the browser cache mucking things up.

Update: I directly contacted EA Support and described the problem. I made clear in the introduction that this problem was originally posted in this thread and that I was asked to instead contact EA Support.
However, the EA Support people told me to post the problem in the support forum instead. Judging from the complete list of all EA forums, this appears to be this very place. I'm not sure what to do now, can anyone help?

If you sent an email to EA Support try using the live chat instead. I've experienced before that EA support will reply to email inquiries with the most-generic-copy&paste'd-from-the-FAQs answer they can find and dismiss you. At least using the live chat you get a real person answering your questions and eventually you should be able to make them see that the problem is on their end.
