Sorry, I didn't know if this was the best section to place this request, but I do play my DA:O on the PS3, and was wondering if I was the only one who didn't have all my profile information updated. I have three characters who have beaten the Archdemon, yet only one of them is showing at the moment. I do not understand why the other two characters and their pics are not only NOT showing, but their information is not up to date.

Now I understand that Bioware updates every hour, but this situation has been going on for months now and I am getting concerned with why I am not getting my damn updates on my profile about my other two chars. Anyone think they can either help me out or give me some sort of questionnaire about this? I would deeply appreciate it!

Edit: Continued my troubleshooting and figured the problem is an error code, like 1002, or 1003, if you look upon the games selection. Is there a way to fix this?

Thought there would be someone to help me out here. I don't know if I am hated for some reason, or if there are people who genuinely don't know :crying:

I've had problems with this from time to time. First off make sure your online profile is not filled up, or very close to filling up. Mine wasn't updating because the automatic screenshots basically took all my free space, once I deleted them the profile updated quickly. If you have open room, make a new save file with the character instead of overwriting an old save while logged in and it should show up eventually. The first few updates seem to take the longest; My first profile update took over eight days to appear, now it takes anywhere from minutes to an hour or three. The more active the profile, the quicker they seem to update as well. Profiles that update and are active on the site seem to get priority in the uploader, although I'm not sure of any exact formulae.

Past that, I'm really not sure with PS3. I know the PC has a problem with Internet Security blocking the updater and needing to be manually set to allow the updater to do it's thing, but I have no clue if there is some kind of option or buffer you need to deal with on a console.

This seems very useful, and is much appreciated ;)

However, I would like you to elaborate on what you mean by dealing with the "filling-up" issue.

If you go under Profile Diagnostics you will see a string at the bottom that says something like :

Number of Files
24

Maximum Files Allowed
100

Space Used

1.03 MB

Maximum Space Allowed

350.00 MB

That's the filling up issue I was talking about. If you get too close to the maximums, the game will have problems when it comes to updating new information to your profile.

Understood! I just found that out last night before hitting bed! Thanks!

Now, what do you do to fix that problem? Just delete characters that you no longer care to use?

Screenshots, Characters, whatever you don't want to keep track of on the profile anymore.

Would I do this on my profile page? Or on the PS3? Sorry this might be a dumb question, but my instincts tell me I would regret not asking.

No worries, just delete them on your profile page. As long as you still have the characters or screenshots on your computer, you can always re-upload them at a later time if you want.

Awesome, well I just deleted (from the site) the profiles of two of my characters, that doesn't delete them on my game does it? :pinched:

I got this to show you though:

1002 - No avatar image uploaded from the game to the on-line storage server.
1003 - No portrait image uploaded from the game to the on-line storage serve
How do I fix this, knowing that I deleted the character profiles?

No, removing things from the BW profile will not mess with your ingame items. I have deleted profiles and then loaded up the game, made a new save, and watched them come back into my storage. I am on a PC, so I'm not exactly sure the differences between PC and PS3 uploading, but I doubt it's that radically different. As long as you don't manually delete your screenshots or characters in the actual Dragon Age files and instead just prune them from the BioWare online profile, you should be fine.

I'm unsure here since I don't have a PS3, but does the PS3 happen to have some sort of firewall blocking the Dragon Age tool from transferring information from your game information to the site? Those error strings are just saying you don't have any available options to select as a profile or the like, which would be fixed by uploading a character to the profile. I know, that's an annoying answer since that's what the problem seems to be, but unless there is some huge bug with PS3 uploading, they should upload as long as you have room for them and then you can select them.

Unfortunately, updating my characters via new saved still didn't work for my good character. But it did work for my evil character.

You mentioned earlier about checking firewall settings on PS3? Or was that just the PC? Any other options?

Everything about the profile/trophy/info upload system works sporadically. The only advice I can give you is to just get used to it, because in the grand scheme of things showing off your character isn't all that important.

So I was obsessed with this a while back and did some experimenting. It seems I am only successful uploading characters with no background, and while they are still early in the game, such as Ostagar. Also, it seems that if I try and save during the day my characters will have a better chance of uploading. After I finish playing, I leave on my PS3 for about an hour - not sure if that does anything but I've been pretty successful at uploading most of my characters now. HTH.

Heh I suppose not.... But it's easy to say from someone whose profile IS working  (not necessarily directed towards you specifically, just in general)

I should probably give it a try, but I don't know.

My profile(s) only started working again just recently. I went through over a month of "cannot connect to online profile storage". As I said, it's sporadic.

Call me crazy, but I think people are being eliminated from being able to place profiles on specific times. I couldn't comprehend why however.
