The advantage of the console version is that you know that the game will DEFINITELY work on your console. With the PC, it's a bit of a hit or miss.

Come on, did you see his rig?
If DAO doesn't work in it's fullest capacity on that rig, shave my back and call me an elf!

" I have an i7-960 machine with ATI HD 5870 card. "

Why would this even be a question for you? Why would you even consider the Xbox over your current rig?

I didn't buy the game on Steam simply because I like having physical media... and I thought I was getting a proper collector's edition instead of what I ended up getting. Oh well.I am running Win7 64 bit and have encountered zero problems in running Dragon Age. As others have said, your computer specs will be more than capable of running the game... you'll be able to run at max detail without any issues. It *will* look pretty.

I would heartily recommend getting the PC version of Dragon Age over a console version any day of the week for many reasons, three of which are: better controls, better graphics, and user mods.

It depends, if your tech savvy and know what your doing with one then get it on PC it has so many advantages over the console versiom, but if you aint got a clue about anything on PC like that then play it safe and stick to consoles.

For instance i work with computers so i'm very good with them so i have it on my PC but my fiancee doesnt have a clue about PC gaming so she plays it on the consoles, it also depends what PC you have, if your PC aint very good then it might be better on the console, i for one have an Alien Ware Area 51 ALX so i have absoutely no problem with any games :police:.

Wooohoooo I LOVE this topic......what's this.....round three billion, quadrillion something something something?

360 rules all day every day.......what lydlyd said is about spot spot on, I am getting really tired of typing the same arguments I've already typed a gajillion times yet again and believe me I've written essays on this topic rofl......so yeah the lesson of the day is that the 360 rules.

Stop being a douchebag.

DAO was designed for the PC, mouse and keyboard offer better control than the crappy 360 controller, RPG's are better on the PC than the consoles.

I do have a wii, 360 and PS3. I prefer the PS3 over the other two, and prefer the PC over them all. And I have yet had a problem with a game on my PC.

I have an AMD Phenom II X4 965 3.6ghz cpu (overclocked to 4ghz) and an eVGA Geforce GTX 260 core 216 superclocked. DAO on full graphic settings flies.

I also prefer hard copy over digital downloads, so I bought the DVD copy from gamestop.

I have both versions, enjoy both...and definitely prefer the PC version for the tactic bar and graphics.

It simply has to be the PC, for the many excellent reasons already outlined in this thread.

If I had the chance I would like to have played this great title on a rig that would bring out the games true potential, but for the time being I have to with come to second best and play on the 360.But its not all bad,at least I am able to play the game.

Try playing nightmare on the 360, without the ability to pause and issue commands to each party member. It's also a pain to only have 6 hot keys on the 360.

Graphics and mods are personal preference. The functionality of the 360 makes it impractical and much harder to play.

Wow, what an amazing community. Thanks for all your thoughtful input and replies. I'm almost sad its not an MMORPG b/c it would be nice to play side by side with dedicated fans. But I guess thats the thing I look forward to it most...hitting pause and/or save game and walking away whenever I have to.

Now to find the cheapest copy....

A computer with a $100 CPU and a $100 GPU will get you much better performance than an XBox 360.

With an i7 and a Radeon 5870, you don't even need to worry about Dragon Age 2 and 3.
