That's right, folks! This is a forum about everyone's favorite dwarf! (Besides me!)

Anything about Oghren goes here!

It's time to talk about the local drunk in our party!

Let's get this going, folks. :D

I adore Oghren. I don't use him as often as I should though but, I do like to put him in my party and run around places like Orzamar just to trigger conversations.

What I want to know is how anyone would manage to hump thunder, and why such an event should be met with derision rather than with hearty celebration as a glorious achievement for all of humanoid-kind.

I hated Oghren the second I found out that he has an American accent but insists upon saying "sod".

If he had a quaint Scottish accent, however, that would be a different story. That's one dwarven stereotype I was sad to see got left behind in Dragon Age.

I hate just about every American accent in the game, actually, with the elves being the worst offendors. Not because they're American, mind you - I just think it's very out of place, and for some reason they just sound extremely corny. I wanted to punch that little bastard Cammen the second he opened his mouth. It brought me no end of satisfaction when I found out I could bang his girl.

yummysoap, you do know that the elves are voiced by Canadian actors, right? Those aren't American accents, they're Canadian, eh?

But, but...

Oh dear, I've just made one of those awful generalisations that I so despise, like when someone likens the Australian accent to the New Zealand or South African or English accents.

But never fear, Canadians. You can rest assured that it's not your accent I specifically hate, because I can't even tell the difference! See, I might hate how some of the elves talk, but Canadian actors like Nathan Fillion, or even Commander Shepard's voice actor, are completely indistuingishable from regular Yankspeak to me.

It can extend to certain british accents as well. Like the nanny/chef character in the Human Noble origin. There's just something about it all that sounds god-awful.

Out of topic here, though.

I despise the Orlesians with their Frenchie accent.

^ That's probably because her accent resembled French about as much as Loghain resembles a pink unicorn.

Has anyone let Oghren break in the jail to save you? I did and he was flirting with the guard at the door in denerims fortress, but it didn't work how did she resist the old oghren charm!

I'm guessing he's referring to a Bronto, seeing as brontosaurus means "thunder lizard".

A question about our bearded vertically challenged friend: what is his obsession with ass chaps?

Asschaps is an inside joke among the writers I think...

Despite what one would normally assume in this situation, he actually says asschabs.

Hahaha :D.

Am I the only one who enjoys Oghren/Anders conversations.

And Oghren/Justice.

"Don't mess with fire unless you want to get burned, son."

"Aha! I knew you had memories of Kristoff buttering the southern Pony" "I don't think Kristoff ever saw a southern pony, let alone buttered one."

I still think, Oghren is one of the most interesting characters, next to Bann Teagan, probs.
