There is an indie film called Moon that I saw recently. The movie
is about a man, Sam Bell, who nears the end of a three year contract to
mine helium 3 on the moon when he discovers a body in a crash that
turns his world upsidedown. The movie features a performance by Sam
Rockwell, who plays Sam Bell,  that probably should have been nominated
for an Oscar. I thought it was an excellent movie and it is critically
well recieved, and i just was wondering how big the movie was. So, how
many people have seen it?

Sam Rockwell was a great actor, but now he's simply brilliant!

Saw it and I love it. Best sci-fi movie to come out in a long time.

moon was better than district nine, especially considering there was like half as much action.

also, moon had a 5mil budget. that is ridiculously small for such a good movie

yeah but i thought District 9 was a great movie, and it was made for a lower budget too

both were far better than Avatar

Yeah, excellent movie, especially when one considers the low budget. I like that smart sci-fi is making some kind of comeback recently (District 9, Moon, and now Splice and Inception this summer). I hope it's a trend that continues.

I saw Moon with my LoveFilm membership and loved it. It always puzzles me that lower budget movies (like D9) always have better special effects than big budget movies. Also, Sam Rockwell's acting was incredible, especially since the only other evidence of his acting ability I've ever seen is when he was Zaphod Beeblebrox in Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy Posted Image

Moon is a great film. I saw it at one of our tiny arthouse theatres, but it was very enjoyable. I loved Kevin Spacey. how that man can be so creepy by just speaking in a calm, dispassionate tone of voice is beyond me.

Hardly call it an 'indie' move imo...

But it 'is' a brilliant film :)

One of the best films of last year. Bowie's son seems to be a real talent.
