No, you have a terrible point. Mass Effect was announced as a trilogy from the start, and if you couldnt tell there was gonna be a sequel from the ending, thats just sad.

I didn't know it was a trilogy when I bought it.

Even when I got the news about Mass Effect 2 I had already beat it more times than I liked to think about.

Has anyone ever played a game so much going back over it is agony?

Yes.... I'm starting to feel that way about ME2.  I've beaten it so many times it is just hard to do again.... I REALLY don't like the Garrus mission... I hate that the darn doors weren't closed in the first place and I dislike that the doors aren't powerful enough to just snap whomever is blocking them in half.... FRUSTRATING <_<...  I still like the loyalty missions, though.

I've only played ME1 five times... so it isn't as painful, but I totally get your point.  Replaying a whole game just to undo one decision is just not worth it.  Just wait til ME3 and find out if you really are considered a "cheater" by the ones it matters to the most... your love interests....

Garrus wants casual sex

It only seems that way from the conversational opening Shep takes to kick the whole thing off. It's a much bigger deal - to both, I'd say - than they let on. They're hard people, experienced in command and loss, with a huge amount of trust between them.

As I've said before, it feels more like "We should see if this even works, since we do" than a fling.

Yeah I've got to agree with Nightwriter, it's really a pain in the ass to beat a game with hours upon grueling hours of gameplay, especially if you're going for 100% and want that to be your primary Shep going forward. In ME2 it doesn't seem like we're going anywhere, Shep's just recruiting people and making them loyal the whole game, the only part that moves the plot is the destruction of the Collector's, which was the main objective since the beginning. Again very boring after several playthroughs. If new dlc is released such as a Romance pack I want it to involve a point where you can officially break up with the ME1 LI and I hope the pack has some interesting things for your current LI and maybe new LI options will be unlocked. I have to admit getting blue balled by Samara was not what I expected when I attempted to romance her on one of my playthroughs. Image IPB
