I was under the impression that the Liara DLC got cancelled. I mean it says cut in the files. And if it is going to be released I bet Liara will just be a quest giver.
No, it wasn't cancelled. This is the same way we found out about Kasumi, by the audio files. Bioware isn't going to confirm or deny anything, until they announce it. The DLC is coming, it's just a matter of when.

Well assuming that Bioware continues their typical pattern regarding guns....
The M-5 will reduce the 1.5 armor multiplier that heavy pistols typically have in favor of a more balanced profile. They'll probably say the gun has some sort of phasic jacketing or electricity(disruption) capability boosting its ability to penetrate shields. Burst-fire would be an interesting addition, but seems a bit odd for a heavy pistol.
8 or 9-bullet clip
x1.35 vs Armor
x1.15 vs Shields
x1.15 vs Barriers
It certainly looks like a mini Arc Projector doesn't it?
Personally, I hope Bioware just does an offensive tools pack:
M-5 Heavy Pistol, M-29 Incisor, M-490 Blackstorm + Terminus Armor
Or something similar.
The Terminus armor isn't going to be offered up as DLC like the inferno armor. Terminus was a Gamestop exclusive item. It, along with the Collector Armor, won't be released for download. That would defeat the purpose of pre ordering the collectors edition, or from Gamestop. Inferno was a generic pre order item from multiple retailers.

It will be offered eventually. The Inferno Armor was also advertised as an "exclusive" item for those who pre-ordered Mass Effect 2. Obviously it wasn't as exclusive as advertised. Add in the fact that most gamers outside of North America were automatically precluded from Terminus/Blackstorm because their countries lacked Gamestop/EB and the furor over the Bioware Bazaar that effectively divided the community by geography...
They'll release it eventually. Whether it be DLC or a GOTY/Platinum Hits edition of ME2, it will come out eventually.

If it's free dlc for those cheap bastards like myself I can't complain, I like free. Even though I'd like those 2 armors I'm not about to run out and pick up a copy of DAO just to get it. Well it's not on my "to do" list anyway. I'll take what I can get with free dlc, here's to hoping it is.

Your completely wrong. Obviously you didn't read my post. Bioware already said that the Collectors armor will not be put up as DLC, but will only be obtainable through pre-ordering. The Terminus gear was a Gamestop exclusive. You could only get it at Gamestop. Inferno armor was just for pre-ordering. Nothing exclusive. All retailers but Gamestop had that armor. In fact, I believe I saw somewhere that Gamestop set up a deal with Bioware to make the armor and give it to them for distribution with pre-orders. The Inferno armor was available for pre-order from any store that sold Mass Effect 2. ANY store. Do you understand now? The Inferno wasn't tied down to a specific retailer, or CE, it was a generic pre-order armor. So no, neither the Collectors armor nor the Terminus armor will be released via DLC. The only way to get them is by pre-ordering (which is obviously too late) or by ebay.

I got the exclusive stuff, I didn't preorder anything from anywhere. People just gave it to me. I never use it.

Yes, we do. It was covered in a 4-issue comic book miniseries, called Redemption.

I think that the Liara DLC, will be as prequel to ME3, probably wont come before 2011.
I agree...I'm hoping hat DLC will be substantial and they take their time on it. I expect it might be the last of the ME2 DLC, but we will get more armor/weapon packs in the mean time.

I expect Liara, character DLC and post-suicide mission DLC to come out in 2011. Right now we will get things like Overlord(huge DLC's but can be done anytime, weapon packs, armor and apprence packs.

The dialogue is in the audio files. Someone put it up on youtube. *Click Here*BrokenPolygon wrote...
does anyone have a link or something for the source files evidence that was mentioned to support the future liara dlc theory?
I don't believe this is potential DLC dialog, but was dialog cut from ME2 after they possibly decided to cut-back on Liara and the SB's role in the game and create the comic series to deal with this (and DLC).
For one, these files were extracted from the archive that containted Liara's other ME2 dialog audio and not from the file named 'LiaraDLC'.
Second, she mentions looking through the data to see if she can find anything useful against the Collectors. I'm guessing that the Liara DLC will happen post-suicide mission, so the Collectors would have been destroyed.

So I can assume you work for Bioware or EA then? Because you need to stop stating your opinion as fact otherwise.
I'm stating the facts because I know them to be true. If you want to wait for the Terminus and Collector gear to come out, be my guess. But you'll be waiting unnecessarily. The Inferno armor wasn't marked exclusive, it was given out just for pre-ordering the game. The Collector Armor was marked as exclusive for pre-ordering the Collector Edition. The Terminus gear was marked as exclusive for pre-ordering from Gamestop. One of the Bioware developers already confirmed that the Collector Armor will not be put up as DLC. If you would just stop living in your dream world and open your eyes, you'd see that every retailer BUT gamestop had the inferno armor. Bioware gave it out because it wasn't exclusive, just some DLC bonus you'd get for pre-ordering. If they were to give out the Collector and Terminus gear, it would defeat the purpose of even pre-ordering the CE or pre-ordering from a specific retailer, in this case Gamestop. If you don't believe me, you can probably shoot an email to Bioware, or call them up to confirm it yourself.
I don't have to work for Bioware at all to know how this works. I'd find the thread where the employee confirmed that the Collector armor won't be offered as DLC, but won't bother because you'd probably just say he's speaking on his own authority and not representing Bioware as a whole. So more power to you. But don't wait too long for the DLC before you realize it isn't coming.

I'm hoping for DLC soon not in August. Of course all I want are more weapons and armor. Specifically the old ME1 heavy and medium armor models and as for weapons I'd like the Blackthing projector whatever its name was, the Incisor, a new assault rifle and another heavy pistol with more ammo than the Handcannon.
Expect a new wepaon, new armor or the alt pack 2 in July, August will be the next big DLC.

We don't know whether it was cancelled or not. We don't know whether it is coming or not. All we have is specualtion and rumor about some unused audio, nothing more. We don't even know what the DLC will be named or what it will contain, if indeed there is one coming. People call it "Liara DLC" because there exists some unused game audio containg a few sentences of Liara speaking to Shepard. The game folders contain a ton of unused audio.PoliteAssasin wrote...

Kasumi's audio files in the game folders prior to the DLC release, is just that. This doesn't prove anything about any future DLC.
All we know is that we have been told that there will be future DLC. We have a statement made that their will be bridging DLC that will bridge ME2 and ME3. We have other statements about some unnamed armor and the M29 Incisor rifle.

I'd like all three instead of having them all separate.
