So I found out that my DLC isn't working because my bioware username does not match the name on my home directory. That means I have to change one of them to work, and it seems like changing my bioware name would be easier. BUT, my home directory name is just my first name. What should I do? I feel like some programs would stop working and I would have the possibility of losing some word documents if I change my home name. Any ideas?
How to change my bioware account name

You bioware account name has nothing whatsoever to do with the name of your home directory. That would probably be a fairly significant security problem if it did.
You might be having sync problems. Make sure you have deleted all your uploaded screenshots. I found my account was full and uploads were impossible until I made room.

I did read your post...that's why I wasted my time responding to you.
Since you already know the answer why did you even bother asking for ideas? If you think changing your account name to the name of your HOME DIRECTORY is a good idea, then have at it if you can find a way to do that. I can't see how that would make any difference at all however. Your problem is something else, such the DLC being incorrectly installed.

You must've misunderstood something. It says in some other thread that your home directory name has to match your computer user name, so I assume that's what you want to do. However if you haven't changed it before they should already match eachother, so first you should check if they do. To do that you go to /Applications/Utilities and open System Profiler. Then click on the software section (it has subcategories but load the main one). Your computer user name is the one displayed in parentheses next to your real name. If this matches your home directory name the problem has to be something else.
Have you tried installing the addins manually through Modazipin? Version 1.0 should be able to install all the official DLC.

Unless you are sharing files on a network or hosting a web site the computer name is irrelevant. It has no correlation to the name of your home directory, except that your home directory name is the computer name by default until you change it. It's only a name that makes it easier to locate your computer from a remote location. It is simply an alternative to your IP address.

I guess I should've said username on the computer to be more clear. Every account on the computer has two names. One is typically the user's real name and the other is the username (sometimes called short name).
