Upcoming Dragon Age Patch Info (June 18, 2010)

It's time for more notes on items fixed in the upcoming patch for Dragon Age: Origins. This week, we have a few items related to gameplay and performance, as well as new Awakening fixes. As noted before, there were a number of crashes related to audio drivers and those have been resolved. In addition to that fix, memory leaks that were harming performance and causing crashes (as listed below) have been resolved. In addition to performance improvements, we also have a couple of items fixed in Awakening, which were not working properly.
• Switching between Dragon Age: Origins and Dragon Age: Awakening were resetting options to default settings.
• Multiple transitions in and out of Fade areas were multiplying the number of visual effects running, slowing down gameplay.
• Resolved a number of memory leaks that were causing crashes and increases load times.
• (Awakening only) Players may now receive notes of appreciation from former love interests.
Previously reported:
• Instant +100 approval bugs for Awakening companions have been resolved.
• Anders, Sigrun and Velanna's personal quests will properly activate.
• Fixed an issue that would prevent an imported character from detecting traps.
• Red script will no longer appear in the place of tattoos.
• Power of Blood talent will be usable in Awakening.
• Game saves on Xbox 360 were being corrupted if you sold too many items to the same merchant. Saves will no longer be corrupted if you do this.
• Daggers will now properly assign the dexterity-based damage bonus
• Updated audio drivers to fix a number of audio related crashes.
Keep watching for additional details. At this time, we do not have a release date for the patch. Once that is set, we will update you on that.

Is the delayed death bug known to be related to this?Victor Wachter wrote...

The bug I'm referring to is detailed here: http://social.biowar...7/index/2892669
Excerpt from that thread:
Thajocoth wrote...
The bug is a delay in the registering of death events in the game. The things that are delayed are:
* Visual - Corpse bleeds out (creates a puddle of blood)
* Mechanical - Loot is often created and the corpse sparkles
* Story - Some conversations are triggered by certain deaths
The bug is apparent within the first 15 minutes of play with a wait of 2-3 seconds, and the duration of the wait gets longer as you play, reaching as far as a 5 minute wait (this was my longest). Some people have reported waiting 10 minutes.
As a game coder myself, memory leakage was my knee-jerk reaction to the bug, so I assume it's related, but I would like confirmation if possible.

Problem: The Silverite Mine in the Wending Wood may destroy most/all of your main character's and yor companions' equipped armor, weapons, and jewelery.

In the next update please confirm whether or not Armor of the Sentinel is going to fixed please. A bioware guy in the xbox tech forums promised me it was going to be fixed.
Yes he did...I saw that post. I'm a first hand witness of BioWare promising the Sentinel armor would be fixed.

Think months after this patch comes out.
JK they could easily fix it with this patch.

-Last time you said that this week would be PC fixes, does this mean that these fixes will ony be for the personal computer?
-Also as stated several times. The sentinel armor in Awakening is in a wrong texture format when having the wardens keep DLC installed. It's a serious bug since you guys showed this off in trailers for the awesome looks, and when getting it it's just like the wardens armor all over again. We paid money for something and it's not even the same armor. I hope this is taken serious, because its serious.
-As mentioned here: "Keep watching for additional details". Does this mean we are getting our weekly update on more bug resolving?
Anyways, as always, keep up the good work. Weekly bug report is always good and i HOPE it will continue

If the sent armor is serious then the qunari model for wedding clothes is even more serious it is not even colored in with the right texture.Master Bandit wrote...
I got some questions here that may or may not be answered:

First off - What?
Second - Why will you wear wedding clothes since their not giving you any benefits?
But yes, you are right. That too should be taken serious, but here is the difference:
You paid for the DLC and then the expansion pack. They advertised in trailers and in live shows the armor set for beeing on of the most powerful, cool looking sets in the game. And what do you get for paying for the expansion pack and the DLC? a wrong armor.
I know there is a quick fix for this, but seriously. Delete and install it all the time when playing origins or awakening makes no sense.
I know it's been addressed by the devs, but a confirmation would be very nice. Im just curious if this will make it in

Seems like we're back to minimal communication (in the form of weekly updates) with no direct questions being answered. I can understand that, since answering all of our individual questions would be horribly time consuming and might go against what they're ultimately working on but I'm still going to point out that it's annoying.

You just do not like how it looks.
Besides i paid for origins and the wedding clothes are part of it.
Origins has been out longer and is in need of many fixes and has been for a long time.
So i say wedding clothes are more important.
Wedding clothes only serve as cosmetic and it can not even fulfill it's purpose being the way it is on a qunari.
I could argue this all day.
