Heck, this is what I call communication. Good work so far, Bioware.
Yeah. This is much better. Keep up the good work Bioware!

Please fix this! It's imperative to me (and others) continuing to play the game and buy DLC/Expansions. If the story in an RPG is glitched, then what's the point in playing?

Good work so fa
So It took 8 months, 4 add-ons and 1 extension (which is also pretty ‘buggy’ by the way) to finally get a decent patch…It seem that we don't have the same definition of ‘good work’….

That armor is too cool to leave the bug in for so long.

reinstalling origins and then i tried to apply patch 1.03, the dos screen came up to verify my game amd it was trucking along then out of the blue my pc just restarted. I was doign this yesterday and i thought i had a bad hard drive so i installed another and re-installed the os...windows 7 64 bits...brand spanking new..yet again when i tried to update, it crashed my pc...i restarted again and tried and that time it went...but i am not 100% sure if it did not affect the original install in a negative way...
i asked in the tech forum about this, no one seem to have an answer...i ll recheck my post....did this ever happen to you...no game i have ever owned crashed my pc like this....

It hasn't been released yet; all this thread is for is to tell us what's confirmed to be coming when it is released.

Yep, this thread answered a lot of my questions. I thought I've missed some part of story - why no Shale on coronation? Why Arl Eamon says his son is "too quiet" while I've destroyed the demon? And other such things. And now I know the answer: because those are bugs.MEMANIAsama wrote...

!) check your RAM with memtest86 or metest86 plus. Run the program for several hours (at least 4) and if there are any errors then your RAM is likely bad.BrunoB1971 wrote...

any ETA on this patch?

Posté 21 juin 2010 - 06:53
If you look at the bug fixes that they've confirmed to be in the patch, you'll notice that most of them are of the game-breaking, character-crippling, story-killing type major bugs that should be the main focus of their efforts. That being said, we're all waiting with bated breath for the Silverite Mines fix!

Going to be even more annoyed if even after finally getting a reply on the game being patched, then the patch takes several months more >.>;;
Awakening -desperately- needs this, hopefully this can turn Awakening into a decent game. The only two issues with Awakening were that it was way too short nd the bugs, fix the bugs and you have a game that is flawed like many others, but at least it's good.

any ETA on this patch?
Not only is this not a game-breaker, it's already "fixed" (although not officially "patched") via Community mods such Surango's excellent one found here: http://social.biowar...ect/2335/#files
I'd prefer Bioware focus their time to fix the stuff the community can't (e.g. CtDs, broken plot flags and event triggers/dialogue branches.) Only after it "works" right should they try to get *everything" working right.

So Bioware should ignore the console players just because some bugs can be fixed for PC users? I'd much rather they fixed as much as they can, since I refuse to use community fixes since console players don't have that option.

Not sure if it's been listed here or not, but Qwinn's Unofficial DAO Fixpack has the "Stealing Bug" fix as well as many other's that people are having problems with..

Wasn't talking about Xbox users. I don't own a console, nor do I plan on buying one. All my posts like that are directed towards PC users. Sorry if you misunderstood.
