Playing Renegade choices this playthrough seems tough. Some of the dialogs deadend when you take the Renegade choice on the tree; this happened with Admiral Kahoku and the missing marines. I did eventually go to the planets involved anyway, but it seemed to me that the bases were smaller, i.e., some of the previously open doors now did not open. I'm not positive, going by memeory from playthrough as Paragon.
Also, it just seems harder to get renegade points then it was to get paragon points.
Any tips for Renegades??

Well, it's easier to get Renegade points because when playing Paragon, you get points for agreeing to help someone then helping them, whereas you only get the Renegade points for refusing them assistance. There's really no cure to this; if you refuse to help people, which is the Renegade thing to do, you don't get to do the missions.
Maybe you could just accept missions, but make it very clear at every opportunity that you don't like it. That way, you get more Paragon points, but you get to do the sidequests.

Most of the Cerberus bunkers have those T-junctions locked out altogether iirc, regardless of whether you agreed to help Kahoku or not.

IF you wanna be renegade, make sure that you've already done a majoriety of the game, because if the renegade playthrough is the one you want to do that on, it's not gonna work.

You can accept the quests even if you're renegade, it doesn't matter. While you're doing the quests, you'll get renegade options.
