I think they are two very different games. Hard to compare. I love the two fro different reasons. I love the shooter part of ME. I love the deep and complex story of DA. I love the graphics on both.

I was hoping maybe just a hype trailer at least ;) but im glad no gamepplay videos or anything of that sort as i would be a little scared that ME3 would be rushed big time and suck, same goes for anything DA:O.

And yes i agree that this years E3 kinda sucked alothough nintendo blew it out the water with the return of the old titles and the 3DS.

Different games entirely. Both of them excellent...but there is one thing I will compare. The art design. DA disapointed me in this respect. ME2's was brilliant.

you're right, I mean, is like saying that Burnout (a racing game) is better than Age of Mitology in everything. This kind of comparation is stupid

Dragon Age is a great game for it's genre, but it is IN NO WAY better than ME2! I've played both and frankly, DA bored the life out of me after 15 hours. It just was not my type of game. Different genres for different audiences.

They're two entirely different types of games, you can't really compare them. As a fan of both games, I found them eqaully enjoyable. Hell, I go back and fourth between them exactly because their different games; one enterains me in a way the other doesn't.

Anyway, as far as E3 is concerned, I was somewhat disapointed there was no ME announcements. Hearing about future DLC would have been nice. but there was a lot of other cool stuff to keep me happy, so, sall good. And anyway, BioWare did just release Overlord. They probably weren't far enough along on any other DLC porjects to warrent an announcment, and didn't want to say anything about 3 because, as others have pointed out, ME2 just came out January. It's to soon for news of the HEART POUNDING GUT BUSTING FINALE.

You're joking right?

Just got it. It is beyond awful. Compared to Oblivion and Fable, it is incredibly bad. The combat has no skill and consists of clicking on your target and waiting.

Ever.

I'm always interested in hearing more about what BioWare is doing, but I wasn't surprised to see no news on ME or DA.

No disappointment here.  I prefer game developers to have a game fairly deep into the process before showing pieces off.  Let Bioware focus on making an awesome game and then tease us.  :D

I'm sad because this will be the last ME.......:( (Mass Effect should continue past #3 and beyond.)

It likely won't be. ME3 is just the end of the Shepard vs. The Reapers arc. More games will likely follow... perhaps even spin-offs (give me a Frontier style game in the ME universe... yes please!).

Oh, and no... I wasn't joking about DAO. It's the best game BioWare have made since KotOR, while ME2 is the worst they've made since MDK 2.

Gee, thats your  opinion hun. Its quite funny to see you go into almost every thread and preach like an evangalist of how "game x is superior to ME2".

Y'mean how like you seem to go into every thread to find those who speak against ME2 and then pounce on them like a hungry lion whose only form of sustenance is an anti-ME2 post?

Disappointed in no new ME related reveals? Not really, it means BioWare are working hard on them but they're just not ready to talk about it yet.

I prefer Dragon Age: Origins to Mass Effect 2, simply because Dragon Age has more depth to the gameplay and the characters. Mass Effect 2 is fun enough as a corridor shooter, and some of the sidemissions are well done, but even the great use of the Unreal Engine 3 can't make up for the fact that it's severely lacking in depth of both system design and content.

Dragon Age's graphics were great for the stylized fantasy look of the world, and if you're on the PC, you can get some mods that ups the texture resolution substantially, no biggie.

Personally I just wish BioWare would start being more honest when they presented their games, instead of always saying that all their games are for everyone, and then reversing that position when people accuse them of misrepresenting themselves.

Sad? No, because I knew they wouldn't say anything about it. It was all about 'The Old Republic' for Bioware this year. And there are still other gaming conventions coming this year. I wouldn't be surprised if they said anything ME/DA related then.

I have no idea what you're talking about, and I don't really much care. I don't recall being laughed at. Last time I recall "calling you out" on your tactics you simply went quiet afterwards and I recall no laughter at my expense. And I work 5 --sometimes 6-- days a week, so I', not exactly here 24/7 either.

I'm not sad, I know Bioware's working on it. I'd rather have the them take their time to craft a gaming gem like they always do. No need to rush things ^_^
