yeah it was mild dissapointment, but at
least microsoft made up for that with their press release and that
kinect reveal.
I thought Microsoft had the worst
conference, personally.

The lack of quality, lengthy DLC for
Mass Effect 2 is frustrating---here is a game that is easily a Game of
the Year contender, fans and gamers are begging for content ranging from
armor pieces to large expansions, and the DLC has been slowly trickling
out, at outrageous prices, infrequent periods, and ridiculously
paper-thin at times.

Outrageous prices? I
thought I was cheap... look at Call of Duty's addons. Talk about
milking a franchise.

Oh, and Dragon Age Origins is a
far, far, FAR superior game to ME2 in almost every
respect.
I'm not sure why so many RPG fans have such
a traditionalist view on things. Just because DA was more of a
traditional RPG, that does not make it a better quality game. As
someone who, for the most part, hates a lot of shooters (won't go near
Call of Duty), I thought ME was a brilliant hybrid, and a huge step
forward in terms of innovation in RPG's.
Dragon Age was an awesome, awesome game, but really, a lot of it was RPG
cliche, particularly the combat and inventory management. I don't think hardcore RPG fans like to admit it, but it seems not many of them ever want anything to change.
And, as much as it has been said, they really are two different RPG's. One is more about the cinematic quality (which, no matter how against ME2 you are, you have to admit they do far better), one's more about depth.

I agree with you
completely
I think they are two very different games.
Hard to compare. I love the two fro different reasons. I love the
shooter part of ME. I love the deep and complex story of DA. I love the
graphics on both.
DA defiitely had some extremely
deep dialogue, but the story itself seemed just standard fantasy. Not that there's anything wrong with that, though.

No game is anywhere like Mass Effect.
Ever.
The
only game I can think of that matches ME in terms of cinematic quality
is MGS4
