And it fits the lore with omnigel and omnitools making the fresh thermal clips.

Armor:
- N7 Customizable armor pieces for Shepard
- Customizable armor pieces for squadmates that you can adjust the colors on.
- ME1 style modular armor upgrades for Shepard and the squad that give stat bonuses.
- New patterns and insignia's for Shepard's armor customization.
Guns:
- New Guns: Just like in ME2 you get as many guns as you need for your squad when you get a new gun not individual guns like in ME1.
- Upgrades for a whole weapon class just like in ME2.
- Upgrades for individual weapon models that help keep early game weapons like the Avenger balanced with more powerful late game or DLC weapons like the Revenant or Mattock.
- Modular upgrades for guns: Like in ME1 except finding a modular upgrade would allow you to use it for any gun Shepard or the squad has equipped. Upgrades might include stats boosts to damage, accuraccy or ammo capacity as well as functional things like a Bayonet that gives you a bonus to your melee strikes and adds some new melee animations.
Property:
- Real Estate: Places like the Shadowbroker base that give you access to new resources. For example you might buy a platinum mine which would produce new platinum after each mission and each new calender day or invest in a company which gives you a steady stream of credits.
- Tradeable Commodoties: Limited resources like minerals, power cells and medigel should all be available to be bought or sold. For example if I have a surplus of platinum then I should be able to sell that platinum so I can buy some extra power cells for my heavy weapon.
- The same sort of stat upgrades for Shepard and Squad we saw in ME2.
- Modular cybernetic and genetic upgrades for Shepard and the squad.
- Modifications to upgrade and customize the Hammerhead vehicle.
- Upgrades to the Ship which alter the story as in ME2.
- Cosmetic customization options to change things like what emblems are on the wall.
- Ship upgrades you can interact with like mini games or a combat simulator.

Just replenish "ammo" after battle and the ME2 combat system stays intact.

I wouldn't automatically replenish it; but I would have the game automatically collect any uncollected ammo in the immediate area after I clear out all the enemies. So I'd still need to aim carefully and keep an eye on how many thermal clips I'm using from one battle to the next; but I wouldn't have to run around the battlefield after I've already blown away all the enemies looking for thermal clips just so I can keep my ammo hungry Mattock well fed.
PS: On a side note while I do like the ME2 thermal clip system, I think ME3 should keep weapons which use thermal clips like ammo; but also reintroduce some weapons which use the ME1 overheat system and just balance the guns which overheat so that they can't lay down damage as quick as guns that use thermal clips.

For me it's the same difference, basically different means to the same end.implodinggoat wrote...

The ME2 Combat system is not really affected with either suggestion, the Soldier class, at least, would still have to be careful with placing shots. However, the one I propose also does not litter the the battlefield with clips and you would not have to seek Heavy Weapon Drops or Armories to replenish one's spare ammo
(the HW drops and armories already seem too conveniently placed as it is for some levels in ME2
I should have gone into more detail in my earlier post.
Personally I liked the switch, the high end weapons that one gets in the higher levels of ME, I think were too overpowered and did not feel right, IMHO, but were fun to use for the lulz.implodinggoat wrote...

And it goes without saying about the helmet toggle, collapsible helmets.
Just gold, all gold.

If Bioware did that I would probably pre-order ME3. I'm still disappointed by ME2 and have only played it twice. Those are solid ideas. Since ME3 is near completion we will find out in a little less than a year if bioware thought of any of these ideas on their own or saw and implemented it. My guess, EA said no that will delay the games release cost more money and we wont get money from sales sooner. to bad Bioware sold to EA
ALthough I can understand that that may be possible, I think we should at least have a little optimism that since Bioware is such a high level developer, EA may realize that its in their own interest to let them have free reign on their projects.
So while Im sure working for EA means certain restrictions, I'm also sure it means more resources and ultimately, Bioware has a very independent and strong staff, so its quite likely that this doesn't happen to them.
At least I hope.

Something that takes no more than five real time minutes to organize and use between missions.
Huh, looks like ME 2 already has something like that. Wow. Who'd have thought.

They've had free reign on the projects since they were purchased by EA, despite what fans may want to believe. Story and gameplay mechanics are all Bioware.BiancoAngelo7 wrote...

But also more pressure for them huh? If they mess it up like in ME2 then they won't have anyone to blame.
Although one thing that worries me is the fact that EA may be responsible for the shift in development times and pushing the product out the door. ME1 took 4 years to make. ME2 took two, and now ME3 is taking a little under 2. Makes me a little worried....

I also thought of something.
How about having firing settings. Bursts to full auto. Or bullets to grenades. Because the SMGs are rediculous in ME2. You have to aim and fire in short bursts and even then you miss everything. Being an adept is hard...
Also, the option to update the radar to show beyond 40 meters. Planning makes perfect.
More options for hand to hand combat. Like electric gloves and biotic fists. I had to kill Saren with my hands because I couldn't frinkin' hit him with my handgun. I know that there are strengtheners but I mean things that stun or knock your enemy out.
And the option not to have to kill a single enemy through out the game!

You may be playing the wrong game
Although with tactical cloak and modding your ini to make you sprint forever you may make it all the way to the Final reaper without killing anyone
But if you don't wanna kill anyone you're best bet is to make your squaddies do the dirty work...lol

Also, the Non-combat/Casual appearance and separate combat armour appearance ideas are great. I just can't stand bringing my squadmates to places such as the Collector Ship wearing nothing but latex and mouth masks. I don't care if it's possible to survive in space for like 2 minutes unprotected... It's just not right!
Good job with this, I hope that BioWare is looking at this and getting some ideas =D
