You'll propably kill me for asking for something like that. Posted Image

I recently bought a key ring and a cell phone strap for a different game (by one of BioWare's competitors). I'm a sucker (in the meaning of: avid fan) for key rings and cell phone straps and I thought immediately: why has the BioWare Store never thought of that and asked the fans? I have no special idea about the design, yet. Only wanted to test the waters and hear other opinions on this.

Background: Most of my colleagues don't pay attention to my key rings and straps. And since I'm working at an office, I'm also not allowed to wear merchandise tees (they do not belong to business casual). So key rings and straps are totally innocent and do not affect business casual - or business formal in case of some clients. Posted Image

Cellphone bags, nylon or jersey  or leather with various logos (each just one)  may also be an option.

- at least where corporate identity  doesn't go beyond any reason (I remember a job where the employer expected me to buy and use even this stuff from the company store, including key rings and cell phone~ / keyring straps).

Hmmm, it may or may not sell. I personally like to buy anime keychains myself but lately have gone for a scuba tank chain that doubles as o-ring storage since it makes my keys much easier for me to see with the big bright blue color (I leave them everywhere).

If Bioware were to make keychains, I would want them to be extremely durable as most of the anime ones (typically a plastic/rubber-like variety) I have had in the past fall off after about 1-2 months of use. I have found keychains that are completely metal last the longest and have the least amount of problems. Perhaps an N7 one would work, though I wouldn't want to see that particular logo be overused.

i agree with beocat.(about n7 logo & metal)
chibi-garrus anyone :P? or a chibi-heads, wouldn't work with realistic images unless you stylized it or use the simple square-picture keyring style. like these eg . 1 | 2 | 3 | 4

i'm not sure if this would sell or if it'll still be recognizable...- maybe a weapon keyring?(handgun,rifle,sniper-R?) eg 1

if bioware decide to make some keyrings, i'd say sell them in sets(of 3 if < $10-15). People would more likely buy the sets outright and pay for shipping, then wait for something worth more, than add 1 onto their order...
as for the straps, i dunno! i don't use them XP

Honestly, I am not an fan of cell phone bags as the numerous models differ too much in size. So there really is no universal bag. At least, I found no one, yet - suggestions are highly appreciated.  So, it's either a folder phone or/and an extra compartment in my lady's bag. (There are numerous bags for the current DS and PSP but those have fixed sizes.) - Anyways, I'd probably be a fan if there was a nice looking bag and I'd prefer nylon; it's easier to keep clean.

@Beocat
My last key ring made of metal lasted four years - then the connection between ring and plate lost it and broke.  So, I'm definitely with you there. Yes, I also don't want the logo to be overused but I also could imagine a nice Mass Effect logo (the planetary shape - was on the wrong side in ME2 but the first appearance in ME1 was epic). Or maybe even the Normandy or any SR-logo. Who wouldn't want the keys to the Normandy? Posted Image

@Tenny
The SD Astro Boy is super cute. (The Weapon key ring actually is the key ring that I ordered. *runs and hides somewhere*)
Japanese Limited Editions often come with cell phone straps, so I just started using them. It gives the cell phone a nice personal touch, especially if there only is one standard colour.

Thx for your ideas. Now I know that I am not completely alone. Posted Image

Cell phone straps become a popular way for people to personalize a mobile phone.
They are useful and fantastic. Some straps are also suitable for  wallets, and most handheld devices...:bandit:

Besides the fact you just bumped a stupidly old thread...

No, most handheld devices and wallets do not have a place for a cell phone charm. No Android or iPhone does, and even if it did, people use heavy duty cases on them. I don't even knowo why you bumped this thread.

Hmmm... look at the join date, look at the link... looks like a spammer/scammer to me. Tsuyiin, you should delete the link out of your post. I've reported the original one.
