Can imagine mages (especially of the dark sort) and archers would defenitaly want hoods too.

Question: i apologize if i'm completely a noob with this question, but i'm having absolutely no luck finding anything on this site. Have people found a way yet to modify models or textures yet? add new items, try changing models for weapons or even tiny little tweaks? Or is it completely impossible to do this yet until more tools from the community are release that allow us to maek things changes in blender or similar program and then import back to DA?
I have been playing with the editor for a while now, and i can't seem to find anything at all reading all documentation and so on that even slightly describes how to manipulate models/textures, yet it has to be possible.......

Wynne looks like a conehead with her's.
+1 for hoods. I always wish games had hoods!! But no. And nice hoods, not little red riding hood...hoods. Rogues need lower face covers too.

I agree, it seems very difficult to create new models and textures, I cannot seem to find anywhere where it specifically allows you to import them.

Don't get me wrong, i can't wait to see what people can make... However no idea how disappointed i am to see a game like this with such a apparently powerful editor and absolutely no sign anywhere on how to actually create custom content...
What Gives/!?!
I bet they don't want modders actually creating content because that would take away money from the game, and possibly allow people to re-create things from DLC's and such, i guarantee that is exactly why they will not allow people to create textures/models and so on and so forth, they want to limit you to create mods using existing things from game and pay for any additional content...
really makes me mad that they claim how great modding community in this game will be and not even allow modding community to make anything....
I shoulda figured this is game they would have played, knowing EA is behind it.

Would also love to see someone make the face from the Sacred Ashes vid,
Just so we have a clear idea....

Would love a preset for the whole face as well as add ons to the main CC for just the hair and tat!

As the next best alternative, we've released the format information for the file types the export scripts converted things into. Hopefully the community will be able to come up with their own exporters without too much trouble from that.

In a couple of the trailers and in the Warden's Quest footage the main character bore a resemblance although I'm not sure if the face was made with the in-game editor.

We use 3DS Max to generate models internally, and unfortunately the scripts we used to export the models into game-usable form had some proprietary third-party stuff in them that we weren't able to get permission to release. We really wanted to, it just turned out to not be possible.

That could be a while, but at least gives us hope!
In the mean time, any chance you guys can add a hood model to the game file that we can then play with? =)

Thanks for this information, it's appricated, and does clear up some missunderstandings. I do hope to see what community can do! (crosses fingers)
I just hope that whatever tool is created by community is good enough to get modders creating some good quality stuff, and nothing that is such a pain to use that no one wants to touch it due to certain limitations, etc.

The mage in the trailer isn't even born on the same planet as the mages in the game..../sigh

Also, This could be a pretty cool mod if you could make multiple hoods in different colors.
