Does it happen when you click "Continue" the first time, and then go the second time you click? Or does it persist?

Not sure if i understand you completly, but it doesnt matter if i click continue or try to load. and if it doesn´t work the first time, it wont help restart or relogin

Apologies if I was unclear. When the message comes up and you click "OK", can you click continue again and go into the game with no further issues?

I believe I have the same problem, I got DAO on steam, installed, got blood dragon armor and stone prisoner. works fine. then I uninstall to free up space. I reinstall, lost internet so i played offline (I started a new character), still had DLC. Then I go online and I somehow I cant continue my game because it has content I'm not authorized to use (I dont see the logic in this, I own the content but I dont own the content). I think this happened because my EA account's email address was different than my Bioware account.

Summary: I reinstalled the game, play offline, then go online and I no longer own the DLC, thus can no longer play my characters.

This a shot in the dark, never had this kind of problem but, have you tried enabling the "Dragon Age: Origins - Content Updater" from services?

Not sure how you do it from Windows7 since I never used them.
For XP: Start -> Settings -> Control panel -> Administrative tools -> Services

Find "Dragon Age: Origins - Content Updater" right click and hit Start.

Another way, Start -> Run and type "services.msc".

Hmm I just thought of something, does moving the game to another HDD change its authorization I look aroun I found a post with a solution, and the solution points to a folder that no longer exists and I cant change it (I started and it said it failed). Apparently I have 2 hard drives and I moved Steam to the other drive to free up space. I'm thinkin that might have something to do with it. I'll see if your solution works.

Btw never had Steam version, this is just a problem I had sometime ago and activating this service did it for me.

Keep in mind you have to be logged in with the same account that the DLC is registered or there might issues.

I just looked at the EA support for DAO, f*cking useless I did what it said and it solved nothing (in fact I thinked it just increased the problem, plus it shows the Vista solution) . Well it looks like im gonna have to play the game with no DLC. :( I dont understand how u have authorization to use it but you dont have authorization to use it. If anyone can find a 100% solution to this problem please post it here.

Plus if you registered DLC to ur Bioware account, this problem shouldnt even happen. Well I submitted a question to EA and awaiting a response, when this problem is solved I post it.

Well I found a solution to this problem and I think its the easiest.

Just don't log on when you play DA:O. Your character profiles wont be updated but who cares about it anyway.
