An easier thing to ask would be "of those who play DA, what is the average range of those whom RP the game?"

Then I think the range goes from mid-20s to mid 30s

Overall players range from 12-50

I am 17 and love the game

Been gaming since my first N64 which I can't remember when I got it, although I still have it

18 - first game I played was Quake 3 Arena lol. How I have matured since then! RPGs now appeal to me far more than FPSs now - Im playing through Kotor for the first - what a quality game it is!

23, can't remember the first game I played was either on the NES or Sega Master System. In the 90's played mostly console/arcade games, then the late nineties switched exclusively to PC gaming. Early 2000's I went back to Console while still playing mostly PC games. Today I mostly play on consoles and handhelds (consoles have come a long ways in functionality from back in the nineties)

I'm glad I'm at the age I am now, especially with the recession and crime level the way it is. A murder made huge headlines when I were a wee lad, nowadays it's commonplace. Drugs are responsible for most crime.

The homicide rate today isn't that much higher than it was in the 50's, which were an all-time low for murder in America. This has always been a violent society.

Not in New Orleans. Just recently there were five murders in 3 days.

Another 25-year-old here. Grew up gaming with my dad on his Atari 2600 and Intellivision. Got a Super Nintendo for my 12th birthday and was hooked! I've always been a console gamer (have never had a decent PC that wouldn't seize up when attempting to try out games, plus I'm just too used to a controller in my hand to really be comfortable gaming with a keyboard and mouse - more power to those who can!), but am a big RPG fan, particularly real-time and not turn-based. Got hooked on RPGs when I got Drakan: The Ancients Gates when it was ported to the PS2.

I wasn't sure how much I'd like Dragon Age since I'm used to rolling solo (Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion & Fallout 3 being at the top of my list) and the last time I attempted an RPG game with a team, I was TERRIBLE (Final Fantasy VII from the PS1 days; husband downloaded it to the PS3 and he's good at it... me, not so much!). But I can't imagine Dragon Age without it - great, great game and opened up a whole new world to me as far as teams and tactics goes! Image IPB

19. yup I'm one of those "young'n whipper-snappers." Been gaming since about 7? I always liked the more story-driven games. Zelda, Golden Sun, etc. Shooters I think are glorified point and click adventures in boring mediocrity. plus the industry has the gall to sell them at the same price as games like DA.

first system was the NES or SNES I think.

I'm just 26. I think my first ever game was Lemmings on the school computer. My first ever RPG was Landstalker: The Treasures of King Nole on the Sega Megadrive (Genesis to you Americans). I think I've been hooked ever since.

23. I've been gaming pretty much for as long as I remember. My first big RPG was Baldur's Gate, and obviously that made a BioWare fan out of me. Before that I played a lot of adventure and platformer games. Even now I'm really picky with my RPGs. I like story-driven games with good characters, not hack-and-slash dungeon crawlers.

41 and still going strong, and a keen gamer since I first set eyes on the Atari 2600 at my mates house prior to buying my own. Oh those were the days, and I still remember my friend and I swapping cartidges with each other at school to play the latest games. Anyone remember playing 'Yar's Revenge'?:-)

36, been gaming ever since I got my university degree 10 years ago...actually even a bit longer

I also gamed on a Commodore 64 around 20 years ago, but back then games weren't so much addictive, there was no Internet and my social life was way better :)

37. Broke in on atari and a few years later on the NES. Us old timers had to use codes to display the blood, because our parents were freaking out, and the blood codes for Mortal Kombat were ABACABB, and up, down, left, left, A, right, down. Can't remember which iteration of the game they belong to, but I still remember the codes. Never forgot those. Always makes me laugh at what is considered extreme in video games now.

I will merely give a hint. My first computer was a Sinclair Spectrum.

A Spectrum - Nice.  I had to get by with a Sinclair ZX81.

You can't do much with 1 kB of memory.

this! At least age and first computer matches, though an Atari 2600 was my first "gaming" experience, with Asteroids and Pac-Man Image IPB
