Just go to the Catalyst control centre (advanced), navigate to the AA settings, uncheck the box allowing programs to control it and set the degree of anti aliasing you desire. I don't know of a way of doing it without screwing with other programs a bit though, if anyone does it would be appreciated.

You can set up Profiles in your Catalyst Control Center that you can use to switch to pre-defined values in some or all sections of your settings. But you do still have to remember to do the profile switching manually.

I have tried forcing it and it does not work. Still jaggies. Edge detect does not work. I know this because their are still same jaggies and i am not getting the 20fps hit i get on all games with it on.

What card are you using, which drivers? Also make sure Catalyst AI is enabled.

I got it to work on my 4870x2 i reinstalled my drivers. I noticed that AA doesnt make much of a difference to ME1. even edge detect doesnt really improve it much.

Yeah, MSAA doesn't do anything for shaders, textures or post-processing. You have to use SSAA which isn't available on pre-DX11 ATI cards, though that still won't fix aliasing caused by post-processing.
