Probably not I suppose. Or if he does, then he will manipulate the hell out of them, as he does with everyone else "Chuckle".

And it's not like he can actually go and open the borders while Loghain the Regent so tactfully denies them entry.
And really, he isn't going to just assume they can be trusted either. I mean, the letters already sound suspicious enough even without his experience in dirty politics.
EDIT
And you talk about Raonar as though he's a heartless, manipulative bastard...

You don't need to be heartless to be a manipulative bastard, that's how I see Raonar

Coming from you, I suppose I should take that as a compliment.
sigh
Maybe I haven't been putting enough effort into his 'nice guy side'...
Or maybe people just freaked out when he stabbed Trian... Ah well...

The difference is that Raonar is more politically savvy and draws the line sooner then Loghain does ( Loghain draws it at not wanting to kill Anora to secure the throne ).
This does not mean he is a bad guy, on the contraire. He holds honor highly and is an idealist, willing to sacrifice himself for the greater good.

And seeing as how stabbing Trian is the most extreme thing he did so far, I don't think it's all that horrible.
For one, if he had knocked him out some other way, there would have been serious complications.
A blow to the head: Possible brain damage, Trian would go even more stupid than he is right now.
Drugs, kick in the stomach or anything else like that: Would wear off, allowing for the possibility of him overpowering Gorim and botching the whole deal.
Really, I say getting lightly stabbed in that context beats dying by a fair margin. The real worry that Raonar has is that there is a very high chance that, even with all his cunning, it may make no difference in the end.

And hypocrite indeed Endrin, pathetic that he dies because of grief yet does nothing to let his children not kill each other.
I suppose Raonar won't preserve the Anvil btw? Or will he? Questions, questions

Reality is also that I am stuck on Strands of Fate chapter with a writer's block...and I don't want to write more in WoS before I get one for SoF.
P.S. Interested in seeing my latest videos?

Could she GET any more entitled and ****y? While, again, I've yet to read it I'm guessing Raonar proves himself far more capable of leading at present than she is and her 'Oh, I'm a Cousland with a magical bloodline' makes her feel like she should lead anyway? You'd think she could at least console herself with the fact that he's a prince and not just some random guy who is better at this than she is.And it took all of Gwen's self-control to stop herself from punching him for not being able to properly conceal the fact that he, too, was in favor of that dwarf being the leader of the Grey Wardens in Ferelden instead of her, the Heir to the Cousland line.
When had she fallen so far?

And remember that she still has no idea what Raonar's past was like except that he was a prince, got exiled, his brothers wanted him dead but it's supposedly not what it sounds like.
