I couldn't have all the wardens be men, now could I? I know it may have been a little predictable, but such is life. :P

No but now I'm doubly expecting the line 'Alistiar, hold me!' Image IPB

Oh no, Elissa Cousland is definitely not going to be THAT type of HNF. Not exactly anyway....

I hate the default HNF name so much. I know it's actually a real name but I can't stand it spelled with an E. Image IPB

I am of the opinion that any name would be better than Elissa. Even a dwarven one like Hespith.

I always use Anastasia myself (because I saw the movie right before playing) but this site has a lot of names and their origins/meanings.

Edit: I do definitely think a three or four syllable name works best with a name like Cousland or else it sounds too clipped just like a two or three syllable one works best with a name like Aeducan or it's too much of a mouthful.

So, I'm hovering between Karena, Siena and Meryl. And Maybe Gwenith (Gwen).

All of them mean influence. Which would you suggest?

I like all of them but if I had to pick I'd go with Karena because I'm a fan of alliteration.

Karena Cousland it is then. but now i have to change Kallian Tabris' name (CE) because then there'd be too many K names. Or should i leave it like that and sod it?

I'm not sure if two counts as too many and there are only so many letters to choose from. I guess it really depends if you have another name you think would fit or if you think you'd end up mixing the names up while you're writing but I'm not sure if they're that similar. I know one story that was going to have Lily in it but that plan ended up scrapped because of the similarity in name to Leliana.

Hey, how do you pronounce Raonar anyway? I can't decide if it's supposed to be two syllables or three.

You really must not cluster your writing so much...makes it hard to read.

Yes, I noticed that myself. I'll try to reformat it a bit into smaller paragraphs and will keep this in mind for whatever comes next.

/r a: o n a: r/

Three syllables ra-o-nar, the R sounds like an italian would pronounce it, not like, say, in "read".

EDIT

Yes, double post. :?

Ultimate Sacrifice. I just saw your post in Costin's fanfic thread.

Ah, THAT. Well, not EXACTLY a fan, but I don't do morrigan's ritual because I either let Loghain do the US or I do.

I'm not a fan of Alistair's "Öh kill him already" because that's really just petty hatred. Alistair might THINK he's doing it for Duncan, but he's not, he's being selfish. So I force him to marry Anora pretty much every time.

And I don't trust Morrigan. At all.

Perhaps...but who are you to destroy a being's soul? You aren't just losing your own/Loghain's, but also destroying the Archdemon's own.

And with the dark ritual, I would be killing a child's soul.

At least when I do the US, I pay for destroying one soul with mine. The debt is settled.

I honestly doubt an embryo has a soul....if it does then we have bigger issues.

Consider what Morrigan and Riordan say though. The Archdemon is destroyed because the soul of the beast is drawn into that body of a person who has a soul, destroying both of them...Morrigan says that at this early stage the child can absorb the essence and not die, indicating the child has no soul.

Well, there is a reason the old Gods were banished to this world, no? Either way, Morrigan is too self-serving for me. And I'd rather not have her, or Flemeth, get their hands on one of those things.

True, but the Maker banished them. He did not destroy their souls. Consider that before you pass judgement.

I can commend anyone who is not selfish to take the DR, if he/she feels that way. However the idea of destroying another soul does not bode well with me....whatever the reason.

The sole reason I took the DR in my first and second playthroughs, was to not destroy the Archdemon's soul. I did not know about the whole warden losses his/her soul thing until my third ( when I finally got the loading screen with the soul being destroying and Riordan offering to do it ).

You know the saying: "Do not be so quick to pass judgment, not even the very wise can see all ends."
