Pretty sure Life Drain's healing would also be heavily nerfed while under blood magic mode. Notice that Heal and Life Drain has exact same costs... I'm willing to be dollars to donuts that Heal would do more healing than Life Drain. Thus if you expect Life Drain to give you an infinite source of damage, then you can use Heal to just recharge yourself over and over again. Which of course is exactly what the devs would like to prevent you doing, and as such I highly doubt that Heal/Life Drain's healing would be worth anything at all under blood magic.

Outside of blood magic, then yeah, I can see its uses. But then again, so does Heal and health pots as well.

As for increasing CON instead of WIL, personally? I won't be raising either, because you already effectively doubled your mana pool. Just because you're a BM doesn't mean you should totally ignore your actual mana pool. So keep casting from health until you're low (maybe 50%? gotta see how your difficulty and situation is), then use mana while your secondary mage heals you and/or you cast life drain. Once your mana is out or your health has been topped off, use blood magic again, and rinse and repeat. And then there's also the potential combo of using an ally Ranger's pets as mana batteries, and they don't cost the Ranger anything except cooldown.

This would effectively allow you to put ALL your points in Magic, if you so wish, allowing for ridiculous damage.

Old topic. And they were sort of right (not really). Get a little bit of Constitution, then dump everything into Magic. Amazingly overpowered as a Blood Mage.
