The Keepers are probably the oldest living sentient race in the galaxy. They've been slaves to the Reapers for so long that they actually EVOLVED on the citadel so they could do their jobs better.

Excellent theory! Pieces together different 'hints' throughout the series - I will keep this in mind. Mass Effect itself is the danger? Intriguing!

I really want the council to admit I was right all along and give me lots of highly advanced armour (with shields/advanced healing) and weapon upgrades (grenade launcher/super cain) that I rightly deserve!!!
I also want the question of what the Alliance actually did with the remains of sovereign. I don't believe for one minute they simply ignored it.
I also want the Batarians to become pawns of the Reapers!

Seems like a good theory, but didn't Sovereign say that the galaxy was developing along the path that the Reapers desire. Wouldn't that desired path involve mass effect accelerator technology? If so, then why would the Reapers want mass effect accelerator technology to develop in the galaxy if it causes the displacement of Dark Energy? Perhaps their initial purpose has changed or has been twisted by the Reapers themselves.
