A Bug Encountered During Garrus' recruitment

I figure that I somehow interrupted the script, perhaps killing things too fast or perhaps by being too close to the spawn point. Anyways it all happened during my recording of the mission. I liked to record good battles for some odd reason.
As a vanguard I am used to getting in wierd places, being unable to move and simply having my bread and butter skill fail because of some height difference but this was special. The bug occurs around 4:45, so just skip right to it. Fortunatly, an autosave helped me to progress. The video is here

lol... I like the reaction when you realize the mech is just standing there.

Yea, I didn't realize it when I was in-game but it was hillarious to find out when I watched it.

What was funny was when all the spawns were done my squadmates were shooting off in the distance, couldn't even locate where it was. Reloaded and replaced Miranda, lesson learned XD

Ah yeah, that reminds me of when something like that happened during grunt's loyalty mission. I charged one of those crawling things just as Miranda used slam on it, resulting in it flying completely off the map.

Yea, I will probably wait with Mranda's loyalty because of that ability. Miranda is simply the best squad member not only because of the universal skills but because of the +15% damage buff. Slam looks good when it is executed but too weak, unfortunatly.

This happened to me once, but after a while of looking around, I found a merc had fallen beneath the bridge. She stayed quiet, and the game continued to let me save. No indication except for the fact that when I spoke to Garrus he told me "We're not finished yet!" or something. So I explored... and eventually caught the biotic asari sitting under the bridge... So I got Mordin to incinerate her. And then it let me progress.
Yea but it doesn't explain why an autosave solved the issue :-O

Thanks for pointing that out -- it was driving me crazy! I had one trapped under the bridge somehow, too. It's during a current run-through on Insanity, so all mercs have barriers. I couldn't focus on the merc in order to get Miranda to overload him. [edit] I could see the red dot on the map, but looking around I could only get the mercs name and status to show up for the briefest of moments. [/edit] But I did have the Avalanche, and it has a wide enough AOE to damage the merc. Took two shots to get him, but I'm finally moving on.Jonathan Shepard wrote...

and, I'm glad you got past that buggy run, Notker_Biloba.
Edit: the Avalanche has been my favorite HW in my ME2 runs
