Hmmm... I won't mention it again then. I bet you probably would like films like Memento, Lucky Number Slevin, Usual Suspects. All of them follow that sudden congealing gasp of understanding at the very end.Ghost Lightning wrote...
@Messy I don't get it....I always loved the ending. Yes, it was odd that the aliens would choose a planet made 78% of a substance that is toxic to them, but the fact that they had the water there by "coincidence" and the things his wife told him upon her death, I though it was well done.
I wish! I would have omitted mentioning the film entirely if he pulled a fatality on the kid. But only if the actual bloody red lettering appears on screen.smecky-kitteh wrote...
I will admit the whole water thing at the end helped ease the utter fear the beginning put me through. when
I was that spike thingy come out of its hand i half heartedly expected the alien to shoot out a spear and say "get over here!"

@Sand King Isn't their Godzilla movie going to be animated? Or is it 3-D?
It's in Pre-Productionsmecky-kitteh wrote...
what ever happened to that halo movie?

No, Godzilla 3-D to the Max was canceled. Instead TOHO has given Legendary the rights to remake Godzilla. It is set for a '12 release. My only problem is that Yoshimitsu Banno has the project lead. The man who Tomoyuki Tanaka (The head man at Toho Studios and the man who loved the G-Man the most) said "Nearly killed Godzilla" after he (Banno) made Godzilla vs. Hedorah.

That was the worst Godzilla movie ever made. Period. It was like a crappy recycling advert with a premise that was silly even for a movie of that series. (I love them, but the plots are usually pretty wild)

Ah yes, flying godzilla. We have dismissed those claims. It's even worse than the time he surfed on his tail in "Godzilla vs. Megalon"

The Showa series fell off after Destroy All Monsters. The Heisei series was the best, Godzilla vs. Biollante is my favorite and I don't mind saying it but I cried during Godzilla vs. Destroyer. The Millennium series was just fun.Ghost Lightning wrote...

I know. The out of nowhere Gigan cameo was just <_<. My favorites were the 90's era films. Ones like "Godzilla vs. Biolante" and King/Mecha King Ghidora.

I enjoyed it, but Kitamura tried fit to much in to the two hours. Ether way a good throw back to the 60's.Ghost Lightning wrote...

I also welled up during Destroyer. 2000 was a great new addition too. I was dissapointed with "Final Wars" though. There was only like five minutes of Godzilla footage in the film, and that motorcylce fight scene....

YES!!! I love how Godzilla was the villain in that one. IMO one of the most well written Godzilla films of all time.
