I'm not sure what to call this, It's not a crash because I can still navigate around the scape, but there is something missing.

I've just bought the game yesterday Via Steam download and sale, I finished installing it today and played it happily. No problems arised till after I took out Fist. I go to save the cerilian and the timer doesnt show up. It did the first few times and I would run out of the club to find the exit, there are no working exits. There is no allyway on map or anywhere for I have looked at every corner of every explorable area. Every time I reload there are those same 6 guards that I kill, but the timer does not show up anymore.

Basicly, I've entered the Bermuda Triangle of gaming.

I've went into the properties, verified the cache of the game and defragmented the cache; the only thing I havn't done is reinstall the game. This will take all night and a day again and I've a trip I have to leave on tomarrow.

Operating system: Windows 7
Graphics card: ATI radeon HD 3800 series
2 gigs of ram, if I can play farcry 2 and mirrors edge with no difficulty, then I should be able to play this fine.

Please, if you have a solution, tell me. I cant find didly squat on the EA tech support, and they have to tech support forums for Mass Effect 1.

Scratch that last post, I've figured out the problem and it should be noted.



It's a Bug.



I replayed the career, using a generic shepard, up to that point, retraced my steps and ran into no problem.



One difference, I left one of the workers alive in that room before confronting fist. They attacked me and I guess I ran into fists room before finishing them off, The worker was still there after fist and I killed him, but that made it impossible for me to continue on.



It's a bug. Sorry for wasting your time reading.
