Seriously, MMOs kill chances for the original non-MMO game to have sequels. World of Warcraft basically assured that there will be no Warcraft IV, only a World of Warcraft 2.

btw: WoW is cancer, I would shed not one tear if it would disappear tomorrow...
Personally, I'd cry a lot actually, simply because that would mean all the WoW fanatics would flood the other (immersive) MMO's. Age of Conan could be an example. Please let WoW continue so I don't have to deal with the large part of its fanbase.
As for ME being an MMO: I entertain the idea, but I do not think the industry is ripe for an ME MMO. If it would come out within 5 years, I'd only be inclined to play it if there were dedicated, strictly-enforced RP-servers. The same goes for Dragon Age btw.
Also, if there were to be an online ME universe, I hope none of the characters we know from the current game series would even exist, other than in our memories. It would either have to be far in the future from the single player games, or back to the past like KotOR did (which doesn't give much room considering the timeline of ME so far).
Considering these things, I would love to see an MMO based on the Mass Effect IP. If done in a non-conventional way, it may just be that one MMO all other MMO's failed to become. BioWare may well be up to the task, in about 10 years or more.

Did you seriously just call AoC an immersive MMO?
Here's the problem with asking this question, there really aren't a lot of people who don't feel strongly one way or the other. So those who like MMO's will say yes they'd play a ME MMMO and those who don't like MMO's will say no they would not play one and creating one would destroy everything about ME, and neither side is going to convince the other side.

NO! I can't believe we aren't getting a KOTOR3, not playing that and same goes for MEMMO.

No. Never liked the concept of the MMO universe and never will. I believe in paying ONCE to own and play the game. Not paying to purchase the software and then paying AGAIN to be able to use it.

What I like about Mass Effect is story. What never works in MMOs is story.

Sarcastic suggestion... I'd play an ME MMO if I could be an Elcor.

This one believes that the Hanar are a nominal idea for a player race.
