I belive it is a rule that all unloyal squadmembers picked for the final fight die ? If you pick both unloyal you die too ??
So what if one is Loyal and the other not ?. Unloyal dies but Shep + loyal make it out ?
Thanks in advance

Any unloyal squadmate you take to the final fight will die. However, this does not mean Shepard will die if both squadmates in the final fight die. So long as you have two surviving squadmates (they can be the squadmate who escorted the crew, a survivor from the defense, or a squadmate from the final boss fight -- any combination of those), Shepard will live.
Thanks a lot - so there is separate cut-scene for
- Shep and both henchmen live
- Shep and but one live
- Just Shepherd live
- No one lives
Curious - What if
- Escort dies
- All Defence dies
- Just one final boss battle teammate lives
Does Shepherd still dies in it ??
If so ther is jet 5th variation of last run cutscene
And it is a shame you can;t be a lone survivor - funny thing for all renegade Shepherd

It's possible. I had no escort, and had only unloyals Tali and Mordin (lolz) holding the line (HTL score = 0), then took unloyal Miranda and loyal (obviously) Morinth to the boss. Obviously Miranda died, and both Tali and Mordin died; Morinth lived through it and got onto the ship OK, but Shepard still died, with Joker miserably failing to pull him up.Angmir wrote...

How many missions varies. Once they're abducted, if you do one to three missions after that, half the crew will die. If you do four or more missions, everyone but Chakwas will die.Planet_Side wrote...
how many missions about is it after you get the IFF until the collectors show up to abduct the crew? and how long do you have after that to save them (as in how many missions)?

from what i've noticed through some playthroughs, if you choose to give legion to cerberus, its 3, whereas if you keep/activate him its 2.
might be wrong though.

Done everything.
Explored 100%
All primary and secondary missions done.
All upgrades researched, everything to be bought i purchased
In the last mission, someone always dies randomly from the team that holds the line.
I have tried many combination and I end up loosing one team member.
I followed the guidelines of this thread.
I send Mordin with the crew. He makes it with all the crew alive
I pick up Tali and jack for the Boss but still someone dies from the other team. usually it is Garrus
Side note: i remain loyal to Ash, but i don't think this is the one affecting the outcome.

I only go to Reaper IFF after exploring all the galaxy and finishing all other quests(loyalty and secondary). I do the legion loyalty mission and then go to Omega Relay immediately.
Now with Kasumi and Shadow broker i decided to play mass effect 2 from the beginning and it has become quite irritating that someone always dies from the team holding the line. I spent almost 2 days trying to figure it out and replaying the same callector mission.
The difference from my previous games is that.
installed kasumi, shadow broker dlc,
remained loyal to ash.

The characteristics of my team were as follows:
- Everybody was loyal.
- All the upgrades for the Normandy were researched / purchased.
- No bad decisions were made (i.e. wrong leader was chosen for one of the segments).
In the end, I decided to take Grunt and Tali with me to finish the game. Once the boss died and Shepard helped Grunt and Tali to their feet, a cutscene was showing the collector minions walking past Mordin's dead body.
My question is: Shouldn't the player leave Mordin behind in order to let him survive?
At first, I thought the reason for that was that I'd given the base to the Illusive Man, but I remember quite well that the first time I'd picked the good choice. Unfortunately, I don't remember the rest of the decisions I made at that time so I cannot really compare the two playthroughs.
Let me know if I missed something but I'd really like to know why Mordin died twice.

You still have not answered my questions. I guess you'll have to get used to Garrus dying.Kleanth wrote...
Yes everyone is loyal and the Normandy has all the upgrades. I have bought everything from everyone even the fish and hamster. Found every upgrade during the missions. explored 100% of the galaxy. .

So, now I'm crazy about ME3. First thing I want to know is how killing almost any combination of team members during SM will impact the sequel. If we will be given opportunity to meet everyone we saved, it means a lot of work for BioWare. It would make this series even more epic and personal. Or we will just get e-mails...

I'm a little confused by this comment. You do choose the person going into the vents and the escort.Absurd wrote...
*snip*I found this and other guides a little bit misleading for not mentioning clearly that you don't choose, like for vents or escort parts. It's surely clear on next playthroughs but for "novice"... Terrifying.

Garrus has alergy for hamsters, he is confused and can't concentrate. You need to choose between them. Sorry, man, I know it's painful.Kleanth wrote...

A team with all loyal squadmates Kasumi, Miranda, Jacob, Garrus, Samara, Legion, Thane, Grunt and Zaeed should have no deaths. If someone is dying on you, it could be a bug brought on by use of the gibbed save game editor (if you've done that) or it's just an outright bug brought about during one of the DLC additions. You could try deleting your DLC and reinstalling it, but that's beyond my troubleshooting abilities.Kleanth wrote...
The team left behind to hold the line are all expect Mordin(which got back to Normandy safe with all the crew) , Jack /Tali are with Shepard for final Boss. Zaeed and Kasumi DLC are also part of that team.
Even with this combination Garrus dies.

Ah, translation. You don't choose in HtL like you do for vents and escort.Pacifien wrote...
