For an outright revenge story, though, I think the human noble beats out the dwarf noble. Dwarf nobility is almost exclusively relevant to one piece of the game, whereas almost everyone recognizes the status of the human noble. And while the city elf gets her revenge immediately in the origin itself, the human noble is forced to stew in his own hatred, to be continually harrassed by Howe and Loghain, before he can finally claim his revenge.

Yeah, you're right that DAO feels like a stand-alone game for the human nobles. That's just it though -- their game begins and ends there while you get the sense there's more coming for the dwarves. When Awakening rolled around, you knew the dwarf stuff was going to continue to be relevant because their empire is sprawled underground while for human nobles, it was more like "OK, I'm going on a business trip, bye." The architect was completely tied in with the dwarves, starting with the original grey warden dwarf tagging along with him. Considering the role that dwarves play underground in being front line of defense for the darkspawn, there's this sense that their story is all encompassing and will keep playing out over other expansions. Possibly. =p

And I know you were making a point about humans getting more acknowledgements in the game and that is true, but the dwarf noble can also counter Morrigan about their nobility, too. Just saying. ;)
