Nah. He may be powerful but he's pretty nice guy compared to the practical incarnation.

The Practical Incarnation is a cool guy, leave him alone. Ruthless and brilliant, what's there to not like?

Imprisoning poor girl blinded by love between life and death, so she can be a ghost-signpost for the future incarnations? :P

A neccesary sacrifice, we will weep for her later. Besides, she was quite helpful afterwards.

Dude, because of this Nameless One is engaged. For a manly men like NO, surrounded by demonic babes, this is fate worse than immortality!

He is busy kicking ass in the Blood War, no time for ghostly spouses and whatnot.

Jon Irenicus looks like he's getting ready to go out to a gay bar in that picture.

Oh yeah, I almost forgot...

The T-1000!

The T-1000 isn't nearly as muscular as Arnie, he has more of a runner's body but he still comes across as extremely menacing.  Robert Patrick plays a ruthless artificial lifeform perfectly.

@Khayness - I'm not sure TTO qualifies as a villain. He was an antagonist to TNO and isn't a villain in the conventional sense. I have to agree the Practical Incarnation was far better villain material. All TTO wanted to do was break the cycle of reincarnation so he could live out his existence in peace.

Well TTO wanted to neutralize TNO by reducing him into a mindless husk so he can't bother the Fortress anymore. That qualifies as a nemesis for me.

And I'm with the Practical Incarnation, he is the best anti-hero I've ever seen. Now he is a ruthless bastard, at-all-costs guy.

Planescape spoilers ahead. I know at least one regular who is currently playing through the game...

We agree and disagree. As I already noted and you just reinforced, TTO is an antagonist or nemesis. His concerns lie solely with TNO. A villain is a person or entity that is malicious and is devoted to a wicked agenda. Jon Irenicus in Baldur's Gate 2 is villain. TTO has no interest in hurting or oppressing people. Everything it does is in pursuit of neutralizing TNO. That's why TTO decides to finally do away with Ravel. If it was evil, it would have done so ages ago and lived quietly in the Fortress, blissfully indifferent to the growing number of shadows courtesy of TNO. That doesn't make TTO a great person, but acting in opposition to TNO doesn't make it a villain.

The Practical Incarnation is a villain because everything he did was to further himself. He enslaved Dak'kon and used Morte and Deionarra as tools. He was aware the latter loved him and still had no issues getting her killed just to make navigating the Fortress easier. If that kind of single-minded callousness and ambition doesn't qualify as villain him as a villain, I don't know what does.

His goal was the same as TNO's, but his methods were more extreme. I think of the Practical Incarnation as a morally indifferent person who had understandable motivations to back up his deeds. (Yup, my moral compass must be broken)

More extreme? Well yeah, but TNO can almost reach this level :innocent:
Heh, to this day I'm not 100% sure wich incarnation was EVIL one. I wonder if there's official info from developers about it (I saw some interviews about PS:T plot, but I can't find it anymore).
