Hey, I just bought ME1 through Steam downloaded and installed it, but right now I'm noticing significant problems with the audio in cutscenes. It likes to cutout in the video like the last few words, sentances or whatever (not sure cause I haven't heard) are left out. It seems like the audio is lagging the video.

Right now I'm using my ASUS G72GX to play
CPU: Core 2 Duo P8700 @ 2.53ghz
RAM: 6gb
GPU: Nvidia Geforce GTX 260M w/ 1gb VRAM driver version 8.17.11.9716 (most up to date via Nvidias website)
Sound: (cant find the adapter anywhere, not in manual, windows says HD Audio Device, sticker on my laptop says EAX Advanced HD 4.0) Driver version is 6.1.7600.16385
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium x64
Direct X 10.0

So far I've tried various combinations of codecs uninstalling reinstalling etc, different frequency o/p on the audio (16bit, 24bit, 44000khz, etc etc), I reinstalled the game once, tried enabling and disabling hardware acceleration on the audio. All in all nothing as helped so far, I've been on the web the last few days with no success trying the various methods that seemed to help others but no luck. Anywho if you can help me fix it or point me in the right direction it would be appreciated. Thanks.

search this forum there's a LOT of info available. Try selecting "Software" for audio instead of "Hardware" is 1st thing to try
