Just bought and installed Kasumi today and every time I go to talk to her advertisement on the citadel, my monitor gets turned off and wont turn back on. I can still hear background sound from the game but no vision. I have the latest patch (1.02). I reinstalled both the patch and the Kasumi DLC itself but to no avail. :(

System specs:

CPU: Intel® Core™2 Duo CPU     E8400  @ 3.00GHz
RAM: 3.49 GB
Graphics card: ATI Radeon 4890 1Gb
Graphics driver version: CATALYST 10.4

OS: Microsoft Windows XP Professional
DirectX: DirectX 9.0c (Aug2008)

Had the same problem manage to pass it by turning the video settings right down, res down, everything off, # of lights 1 ect.....

Then turn everything back up once passed it.

This seems to be some kind of odd trigger point for video card glitches, along with the scene where Grunt emerges from his tank. One poster with similar issues found it went away after changing which power connectors were plugged in to the video card. I believe another was able to get past it by underclocking their GPU. Maybe simply changing the game's own settings like Hayato33 says would work too.

Update your drivers. You're running Catalyst 10.4, from April. The latest are Catalyst 10.6, from June. Not a guaranteed solution, but one you should always consider.

A note regarding ATI drivers: The prefix is always the year, the suffix is always the month. 10.6 = Year 2010, Month 6. They release new drivers once a month (sans the occasional hotfix), generally between 15th to the end of the month, usually best to check around the 25th or so.

I just ran in to this issue and reinstalled ME2 but once I went back the same thing happened again now to hope my game isn't corrupted again.

I just reset all my OCs to stock clocks, hope that does the trick, how ever I have played the entire game with my OCs so I'm wondering if its how I have my PCI-Es plugged into my 4890 ? who'd of thought that would cause such and irritating issue such as this >.<.

Update:

Well I just tried talking to the Ad that Kasumi uses to get your attention when you 1st meet and I crashed again only this time my PC just instantly shutdown...I'm ganna be Fcking pssed off at BioWare if I have to replace something in my PC because of this... I should be able to play this with no hasle at 1080p with all the bells an whisltes. As it is it looks like I'll have to tone down the res to maby 1440x900 and hope that works...*But I Prefer 1080p!!*...I also just swicthed where the PCI-Es were plugged into my 4890 so were see.. but  I really do not see how that would really effect how a DLC crashes your PC C_C.....

There is a reason why thnigs are shipped set at certain clock speeds, andthats because thats the speed at which they are reliable. Overcloaking makes things unstable. Its luck of the draw whether its 99% stable, or 10% stable.

That;s just the thing, I was running this game before with the same OCs with no hasles at all and now when I go through again with no OCs I'm even getting this crash at this point of the game, everywhere else in the game its fine, but the sec I try to talk to Kasumi I crash so its not my OCs as I have tested them both OC and stock and I still get this crash.

Update:

OMG it was my res WTF... seems like that part of the DLC does not like 1920x1080 lol wth.. well seems I can reset my OCs which by the way were rock solid fyi, 6 months straight  with these OCs an no hassles and I get a DLC with a res issue LOL
