But if you're comparing more than the official single player content, I've got to say NWN is the game I had the most fun with and there are a lot of community modules that tell stories that are just as great as the ones of BG2 and PS:Torment. That BioWare gave these ingenious authors a tool to tell their stories with and without much technical knowledge required is one of the great merits of NWN. Not to speak of all the other features, including the options to create your own MMO's or roleplay D&D sessions online.
So, best official story campaign BG2, best overall game package NWN.
To be fair I have to admit though that I'm neither familiar with KotOR nor Mass Effect nor Jade Empire nor DA yet, heh. But I promise to give them a try ... one day ... should I ever tire of playing NWN mods.

Oh ...by the way...my first Bioware game was Baldur's Gate 1 and it kicked some serious ass...but still nothing compares to Neverwinter Nights...

It's the only game that I've truly been able to "roleplay" where I can fully act out a character, interacting with other characters, and not be restricted to a script. On the other hand, if I want to play single player and am in the mood for a story, NWN offers so much more variety with the community made modules.

Strange, I can't see how anyone wouldn't like NWN. There is just so much flexibility and gives me a different type of game for whatever mood I'm in. Multiplayer heavy RP, casual hack n' slash, excellent community made mods. Each of those gives a different experience (all of them good) and variety. Even then I guess you can't please everyone lol. I'm the exact opposite of Archdemon Cthulu in that NWN is the only one of these games (I haven't tried them all, including DA) still on my PC. I tried playing BG again thinking I missed the fun everyone has been raving about (that was actually my first Bioware game) but just couldn't get into it- felt way too restricting after enjoying NWN for all these years.

My PC gaming is basicaly limited to Strategy games and point and click adventures while I play everything else on console. I'm not big into modding and such and overall, I prefer an excellent narrative over everything else. I find NWN to be the weakest BW narrative, and I alos don't really dig multiplayer RPG's, so NWN is not really my thing. It's not bad, just doesn't fit my preferences/tastes.

Hey that's cool, I am a hardcore strategy gamer myself. What's funny is I bet we have the opposite tastes on that as well. If I were to take a guess, you're probably more into the RTS style where I am into grognard turn-based like this one: http://www.matrixgam...miral's.Edition
Also, have you ever tried any of the community- made modules for NWN? Some of those have some excellent and very deep narratives. I haven't tried it yet (am about to), but the Prophet series, for one, is supposed to be very well done.
