Anyone else having issues with installing Overlord or Kasumi?

I picked up the Kasumi, Overlord, Cerberus Arc, and Alternate Appearance, Equalizer, and Firewalker DLC's yesterday. Downloaded and installed all of them except Overlord and Kasumi which I ended up cancelling due to how long they were taking.

Downloaded those two today and for some reason they won't install. They just keep hanging after initializing. Don't even get to the screen where it asks me to click to start installation. If I start ME2 I get a message pop saying it can't install because ME2 is running and to try again later. When I bring up processes it shows them but no CPU, just some memory being allocated.

Any ideas?

Had that problem. Wait for it. Maybe 5 minutes with my hardware.

Thanks, I'll try waiting it out. Guess maybe just the larger the file the longer it takes to actually initialize. Don'y recall this problem previously though.

It finally caught up but both took well over five minutes to kick in. Odd. Both are installed now.

I downloaded twice the Overlord installer, but when I run it, it install the Kasumi DLC, not the Overlord! I can't resume my savegame without tha, which was after the ending of Lair of the Shadow Broker!

anybody knows whats causing the "wait for it" problem? can't imagine it to be the size, i installed the shadow broker dlc right before i tried kasumi, and it worked perfectly well. now im waiting for kasumi to kick in. strange

Downloading time is abit slower for Overlord DLC. When I finally able to install it, I have a error that says, the file is corrupted. Any thoughts? I really hope something turns out...

Got the same problem, why isn't this fixed yet? It has been over a year.

I just purchased and downloaded Overlord and Arrival earlier this week, and the situation is weird. I ran ME2_Overlord.exe first and it took a minute to start doing its thing. When it did, Windows 7 said it was from an Unknown Publisher (which is weird). I ran it, and it began unpacking and installing several files, but without asking me where I would like them installed. It in fact extracted the files to my C: drive, while the game is itself installed on my D: drive. So there's that. Also, the files extracted were along the lines of DLC_UNC_Pack01 (which I understand is actually the Normandy Crash Site DLC?) so I'm even more confused now.

Installing Arrival went much better. No delay between running the exe and the program starting up, I click "Next" and it goes to the prompt asking me if I want to install to "D:\\program files\\whatev" AKA the right folder. It runs through the process nice and quick, and finishes in seconds.

I run ME2, re-connect to Cerberus Network after if pitches a fit saying it can't verify Arrival, and finally enter the game, where I only see Arrival in my quest log and with all the messages on my Private Terminal and whatever. No Overlord to be seen, but I was concerned from the moment it was an Unknown Publisher. Can I get anything on this? I'm not sure what's going on and I'd like to finish ME2 with all the DLC before I buy ME3.

There's no one left here any more, or at least almost no one. Every forum other than Off-Topic died in May, 2011, and since then, only the ME3 forums ever had any people in them.

Personally, I never download demos, games, expansions, or extra paid content. It's on a DVD for me, or I have no knowledge of it. I can't help you, but Kloreep created a real bangup of a FAQ summary, and all of the Archives are still on file here. Remember, all of the technical discussion forums, every one, is strictly gamer to gamer self-help.

Official Support is on the EA Help pages.

Thank you for the heads-up. I will attempt an EA customer service ticket.
